Am I crazy for toying with the idea of setting up a temporary paint booth, buying a compressor and the guns and repainting my car?

Apparently it's been done =/

I'm running the 460's right now on my setup. 263HP but that's almost maxed out. Also have a big fuel pump.

Want the fastest Miata in town? - $7500 (Knoxville)

What I have here is an amazing opportunity for someone to get the absolute fastest Miata you have ever seen... For a song.
Why for a song you ask? Well because it is broken! And I no longer have the time for fix it. What is wrong with it? Looks to be bad Coil Packs.

The car is a Sunlight Silver 2000 Miata LS. with Beige Leather Interior, Tan Top and TONS of POWER!!!!!
now, what makes this little Miata so fast and so special? It has in it a professionally built 1.8L engine, It has been Balanced and Blueprinted, ported and polished from top to bottom, Weisco Pistons, Pauter Rods, 550 CC Injectors from an RX7, A custom cold side Intercooled Magnuson MP62 supercharger, Custom Coil On Plug system, Methanol Injection system from Devil's Own... Yea.. that's right.. Methanol!! For that added little OOMPH!! And if the Methanol does not give you enough OOMPH, on top of the Massive Supercharger... There is also a 100 HP shot of Nitrous... All of it is controlled by a Haltech ECU, which can be programmed by laptop with the supplied USB cable. The car has Front and rear sway bars, Eibach springs, 949 Racing 6UL wheels.. These are the Black with chrome lip wheels. They are perfect and no longer made. Some of the best racing wheels you can get for a Miata. Even the wing is special.. The wing on it ONLY came on a limited edition Japanese model and only for one or two years. The wing alone is worth over $1200, the Wheels at least $800. The motor has over $14k worth of work and parts in it, I am asking less than HALF of the value of this little hot rod. The motor itself has around 17k miles on it, it was a 3k mile motor when built. The car was dyno'd at 347 RWHP at 26 PSI of boost. I will include that pulley. I run a more street favorable pulley which gives me 16 PSI and and healthy 275ish RWHP. Which is still more than enough to out accelerate MOST of the cars on the road here.

How fast is it? SCARY FAST!!! Seriously!! And oh does she sound sweet!
On with the pics right?

Also, this is how she sounds when running :D

I truly love this car. It truly does pain me to sell it, for ANY price. But I simply do not have the time to work on it, nor to enjoy it. I had planned on this being my weekend and evening car.. but I work all my weekends and evenings right now. The car has been in my garage in partial dis-assembly for several months. It is a shame to leave it there. Someone should fix it and enjoy it!

May consider trades, but it has to be interesting.

ah yes, all that coming from the guy who paid a shop to build a turbo Miata and fabricate dyno sheets.

I want this:

+
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOTOR...item19c0b2d86d

EDIT: So, now I'm conceptualizing this (though it will probably never happen).

Could the bike theoretically be converted to fuel injection? I was thinking custom intake manifold bridging the two intake ports, inject the fuel strait into the manifold at each runner. Run some sort of engine management (Some sort of MS derivative?). Depending on the bike the spark is controlled independently of the MS, though you could probably use a coil and create a controlled timing map. Thought that would be rather difficult because it would require something to tell the EMS where the crank is.

Oil feed would be a sandwich plate at the filter, but does a motorcycle like a CB create enough pressure to run a turbo? Drain and routing the air would be fairly easy.

Sorry, thinking out loud here.

So cackandballs got all pissy with me when I said I would not comment further on his dyno chart in his FS thread....but then I found where he posted his old username on M-S and I dug a bit more. I found his car, and turbo setup pics in the gallery....this is interesting....

Shit, Gorgoroth is too much for me. Gaahl is a fucked up dude, he went to school in the the-middel-of-fucking-nowhere, Norway with one other kid untell they where 18 and graduated. They only saw eachother in class, and after graduation the other kid killed himself, that would leave anyone with problems. You can watch a documentry about him here.
Meanwhile, here's some Norwegian Death Punk to lighten the mood:

Just buy it, make it run, then ride it. I don't like working on shit, I like driving/riding shit.

I belive so. I did a lot of looking on BEGi's site before calling him out. Made a hell of a "list" of questions about the whole setup...great callout.....and the thread was deleted.
