volume:

V=L*pi*r^2 - comparing two 10" lengths of different diameter.

V = 10" x 3.14 x 1.25^2 = 49.0625
V = 10" x 3.14 = 31.4

so 56% more flowzzzzzzzzzzzz with a 25% increase in diameter.

Edit: nice math, fae.
I dont know why you calculate volume instead of volumetric flow but the numbers work out the same.

my 4" inlet is 300% more flow than a 2" inlet.

Pie times radius^2. Area.

Umm - I think 2" is diameter, not radius.

cheers.

Do I really need to wire-in the switch and light of the LC-1? I'd rather not and just touch the black wire to GND when I want to calibrate.

Sheesh, how hard is it to ground a wire? Then it's there, and you don't have to fart around with it.

No switch or light required. Just touch it to gnd.

It's a bitch actually. Right now I'm running 3 ground wires (sensor, heater, gauge)If I add the light and switch that's an additon gnd for the light and additional wire for the switch to take the calibration wire to gnd. So it grows to 5 ground wires and half a roll of wire. Then I have to mount the both. Then, I get to loom it all again on the inside of the car. It's a pain in the ***. I wish the MTX-L had the old DB numberical gauge.

What the heck are you grounding to? AFAIK, you don't have to use the same ground as your MS, just find a spot close to where you want the switch.

(I'm sure someone will tell me I'm full of crap.)

Ground the switch and light wherever you want. I have mine grounded near the radio, and the light is mounted in a hole in the rectangular cap low on the left side of the center console. Its the cap that you remove to get access to the 2 lower bolts for removing the dash. I don't have a switch wired in. When I want to calibrate, I just remove the tape around the positive side of the led and touch it to ground.

Hustler, the light also throws a code in case something goes wrong with the WB. Makes life easier to invest an extra 10 minutes to install them.

So the switch completes the circuit on the calibration wire to go to ground. I take the red wire from the light to the black calibration wire. Where does the black light wire go that it won't ground the calibration wire?

I haven't wired this in a few years, lol.

Vegetarians **** me off. Vegans especially.

They're all hypocrites, really.

I mean, eating a duck is evil, eating a pig is evil, eating cheese is evil...

But a loaf of bread? Sure, they have no problem at all tearing into that, along with the millions of yeast which were brutally murdered in the baker's oven to make it.

Why is it that something apparently has to have a face in order to be worth caring about?
