I had a similar dilemma recently. I just shitcanned the old grill and bought a new unit. I'm not sure what your finances are or how long you've had your current grill, but I tend to write them off every couple years.

As I posted (earlier in this thread, I think), I spent $75 to fix my gas grill. New ones (nearly identical) are about $99 at Lowes or Home Depot. Toss it and get a new one. It's the American way.
In other more important news, I just had a tent spike go through one of my fresh new 50 mile old RS3 tires. FML.
