How (and why) to Ramble on your goat sideways
Reminds me of Steve Goodman. RIP
On a completely unrelated note, has anyone ever had their battery go so dead that they couldn't push start the car? On Wednesday afternoon I parked the miata after I got back from work, and on Sunday afternoon when I went to get some Chinese food the battery was dead. NBD, I had my neighbor give me a push with his miata. Nothing. After a couple of tries, we decided to try to jump it at least enough to get the windows up so I could park it on the street if I couldn't get it started. Sure enough, after a couple minutes on the jumper cables it started right up.
I assume I didn't have enough juice to turn the fuel pump and/or trip the FP relay. Is it because the 99+ alternators have the regulator as part of the ECU and therefore won't work unless the ECU has enough power? It works fine now I'm just curious.

OK, I'm looking at straight talk. I like the fact that I can keep my SIM/number and just swap it over. $45 a month for unlimited sounds good, too.
I need an Android phone. I have no ******* clue what I'm looking for. My requirements for a phone are...MS stuff, virtual dyno and....I think that's it. Maybe emulating old games, but that's not a requirement. Oh and HD video recording, too.
Oh god, I am nervous just thinking about this.

A TCP packet walks into a bar, and says to the barman: “Hello, I’d like a beer.”
The barman replies: “Hello, you’d like a beer?”
“Yes,” replies the TCP packet, “I’d like a beer.”
As far as I can tell nothing is close to the Galaxy S4. I had the S2 and it was pretty baller and that is like ancient tech nowadays.
It's a good chunk of change, but it's basically a ******* laptop powered phone.

I....I thought we were friends, Joe.

That's what I get from reading around. That and the HTC One. S2 is still 250-ish new.

viperormiata, I went with a Nexus 4 and don't regret it. https://play.google.com/store/device...gb_black_promo
$300 for 8GB onboard, $350 for 16GB. No, it's not as cool as a GS4, but at 1/2 the price you can't beat it.

The Nexus 4 is great bang for buck. I've heard some pretty good things. The S4 is a notch higher in just about every category, but I don't know if most people would even notice it. The actual phone resolution is much higher on the S4 (1080x1920 vs 768x1280), it has a bit faster ram (DDR3 vs DDR2)and 400 extra MHz from the CPU, but that is about it. I ditched my S2 for the shittiest android I could buy for like $80 so what do I know.

I got my S2 for $10. Samsung refurb. Flawless, and came in new packaging, with new equipment, and new externals. No issues in the year and a half I've had it so far.
Not bad but for people like me who use ~100 min/texts and 200-300mb of data that is steep. My last bill with ting was $18.

Thanks for the link and info. I'll look into it.
