If FEMA had the bicycles, would it fund Hustler's manlet bib?
Cool. Those have connectamajigs.
So you basically shorten them at the connectamajigs instead of at the lever. The 8mm compression nut is under the rubber cover on the calipwr side of the connectamajig.

What if I want to just remove that **** all together? Do I really need them? I would like to do it once, the right way, and never mess with it again. CX1 group, new bars/stem, bar tape, new brake hoses, all in one round. Then, win.

I would gladly run a compact on my single bike, even though I don't really need it.
and go with a 11-28 cassette or something for those times you are riding with someone that isn't on a real bike. lol.
Tandem 2016 with di2 is going to run ultra wide rear end with a standard 39/53 crankset. 11-40 cassette with wolf-tooth road link and long cage ultegra di2 RD. I might find a 40t small ring to change that out... but im sure it will be fine.

My model Tarmac came with BB30 FSA Grossamer with 110 PCD rings (52/36). I didn't know that the Q could be different, I never see that listed as a spec when comparing crank sets.

Does this mean I won't get a Shimano crank on my Stigmata?
you can put a shimano crank on almost any bb "standard" going, albeit with some custom bottom brackets or with adapters.
not sure what a stigmata uses for bb shell, or if you are being serious.

This is where I bought my last two sets of BB adapters.

yes, a true bb30 crankset for a road bike would probably not fit what your looking to do.
i.e., I have a cannondale hollowgram crankset that is bb30/pf30 and it has no real use right now. if I were to build a gravel bike I don't even think I could get it to fit when I manipulate the chainstays to fit the tire and the chainring/crank arms.
