Drove it and omg it's a blast at 6lbs. Its crazy how a little bit of torque goes soo far for this platform. It just launches, boost comes on strong quickly. I thought I understood what it would be like but I had no clue. This car even making 150whp is just constant bliss I can't wait to breach the 200whp mark, it feels great at 2200 rpm with 6lbs. I can see why you guys are were screaming at me to get some sort of heat shield sorted . This is my next mod before I install anything else.
Finally!
Watch your AFRs when in boooooost. Create yourself a heatshield to cover the exhaust turbine & downpipe.
Don't skip the BOV, find out if it's good etc or if you need another ebay on the cheap. Compressor flutter is not cool.

So we are probably looking April for the tune and boost increase that way I will have everything supporting the rediculous power it will create.

Get on it

You're gonna blow your sheeeet mang
inb4rodsout.
Monitor how the motor is reacting now, get a avg input on AFRs. STAY OFF BOOSTA MEH GUSTA as much as possible. Or just goto 0.0psi max engine for boost on speed runs. Also, I wonder when your manifold will crack.

Get that megasquirt installed pronto.
May I suggest "The Car Passion Channel" for your megasquirt install needs...etc. AFR monitoring. He popped up a while ago on these forums. Videos are at least a basic run down.

I echo what others have said and really recommend installing the MS as soon as possible. It takes a bit of setup, but it'll feel better and be safer at 6 PSI than it does now.
i was really happy with 150 rwhp (m45), but after 315000 miles the motor blew up. i'm replacing it with an lfx. we're a l m o s t to the point where we can take it to enthuza for an exhaust system - then start it. but back to the point, miatas are a ton of fun with just 150-160 hp.
6psi and no fuel or spark management equals broken piston rings and melted pistons.
Your engine may already be dead. It is likely damaged if you have been doing powerslides with it with no management.

Rising rate fuel pressure regulator controls fuel and the Sebring msd box controls spark...
