Just got a DIYPNP from a member here. 94 miata with 99 motor. FM2, ID1000's. Just got it to start and run at idle for a while, but it's not pretty. Really no idea what I'm doing! Trying to learn as fast as possible!

Thumbs up New MSPNP install

This is an old thread, I realize. I just got my MSpnp (II) and installed it, started the car and have all the work to do now. Bought it from Bell Engineering along with Innovate LC1 and gauge.

My car is a 2000 normally aspirated, 5spd with cool air intake. I've got a new turbo setup which I pieced together, but plan on learning to tune before bolting on the forced induction, 500cc injectors, exhaust, IC, etc..

93 stock 1.6 (soon to be upgraded) 35R home brew kit, 3" exhaust MSPNP ( at 60 do you think I can remember anything I learned in College?) I have no idea how to use the MS but have been reading post for hours. Sure wish someone had everything already to use that I could download.

Mspnp gen 1
Bp4w engine in 94 miata (stock for now)
Utilizing the 94 coils and setup for MAF removal

Other cars using Megasquirt: 2003 cavalier, home brew turbo, parallel system MS3 + MS3X, LC-1, forged everything, currently can't keep tires on it at 21psi.

Soon to do a small T25 on the Miata....

Kind of been on a quick MegaSquirt evolutionary trip. Started with DIYMSPNP for various 1.6 MX5's, bought four of those. One of the cars was an SCCA ITA, one a street with M45, another with a big turbo build. Then got three DIYPNP MS2's. Used this on a M45 street car, a SCCA FP MX5 and a M45 powered 2000 MX5.

Now have two of the MS3 kits, one built with MS3X card. Have both Stims. Aim is for this to be in my FProd MX5. Project had been on hold for last 18 months due to outside constraints. Now back at it. MS3 complete, talking to PC & have maps loaded but car not running yet.
Plan on converting one of the DIYPNP MS2's to work on an E30 and another one for a 87 RX7 Turbo II car.

Dang, I wish I was only 60

Seems you've got probably the most common install that's been done. I guess your MSPNP is the original MS1 version? The DIY site is really great on this set up. I've had four of the MSPNP's, and they were by far the easiest to get up and running following their directions and writeups plus there are a lot of threads that document doing what you have.

Mspnp2, big16g turbo, rx7 550cc injectors, Wally 255lph. Ditched a perfectly good aem fic6 piggyback for this and have never looked back. Tuning is so easy and effective. An ecu that recognizes boost is a beautiful thing.
