yes that. you need a usb/serial converter cable to attached the MS (serial) to your laptop (usb).


make sure you get a known good one that can work on your OS. I found my radio shack, even with windows 7 drivers, fails to work on windows 7.

 

I went through 2 or 3 at my local Fry's electronics before I found one that works with the netbook/adaptronic. Hopefully it works the same way for ms. Don't see why not.

PLEASE NOTE, all the units I've built so far do NOT have the expansion board yet, as I am still waiting for the PCBs to be delivered to me. Each ECU will need another ~5hrs once I have the PCBs.

 

Also note, Phil (levnubhin) decided he wanted to upgrade his MS1 to MS2 instead of buying this unit, so I will build 99mx5's unit earlier to get 5 units sent to the US. Apologies to Taiman81, CRAIGO and guitarjon, altough your units will still be made in the same timeframe as before.

That happened pretty early in the group buy process and we only got enough units to cover the group buy needs, I'm really sorry we can't help on this one.

I'm still waiting for details from participant #4. In the meantime and pending the arrival of the PCBs, I'm going to build a stimulator for the 99-00 units (I already have one for the 01-5). That should make sure that all the 99-00 units are checked and working before shipping. That should take me at least a couple of days, I have already designed it, I just need to build it (with lots of solder as usual, yikes!)

Ps. I know how it feels, I was waiting for 4 days for MS kit to arrive from the UK, and that must have been the 4 longest days of my life.

A little update:

1) I received more processor boards, so now I can satisfy all the orders
2) I just finished my stim for the 99-00 ECUs, I tested it on Staffah's ECU and it worked like a charm
3) The expansion boards shipped today with a two day wd delay. Hopefully I will have them by Friday.
