I don't suppose you could post a list to show the order they are to be built and shipped, It could save the "when will I receive mine" posts ?

The list on the first post is fully populated, the order of the list is by the date of the commiting post. As I am building each unit and completing it, I will post here. Units will be built by me and shipped at least 5 at a time to Scott, to save on shipping (hence the extremely low price).

Will the gentlemen in the UK decide if they want theirs to be shipped to someone in particular to save on shipping from Greece to the UK, or individually?

Dimitris

I'll ask the lads on Nutz. As forum admin over there, I'll take responsibility for receiving the order from you if that's okay? Obviously they will have to be charged an equal amount along with myself for delivery. I could then calculate individual prices from my address delivered to their door via special delivery so that they are fully insured once in the UK. At my end they could then paypal me the exact amount for individual delivery.

People might not want to wait around, but for those that do, we could save around £20 each on postage if my calcuations are correct.

Craig, I was thinking along the same lines. I will also ship insured from Greece via EMS, if you don't mind.

That's fine Dimitris. The only snag that has been brought up is that those earlier on the list will have to wait for the guy who is 17th on the list? That could be a fair few weeks further wait for those earlier guys.

I guess I'll just see how the earlier UK orders on the list feel about the possibility of waiting for the later UK orders at the end of list?

I'll also look into costs tomorrow for internal UK insured deliveries and post up the figures.

Did you speak with Scott directly? I don't recall any post from you in this thread, and so far only I have been updating the list on the first post.

As said on MX5Nutz I am quite happy for mine to be shipped to CRAIGO in the UK and then I'll collect it from him personally as I work near him.

Build 16) 32GUY (UKDM 1.8iS NB 2000)

Thanks for all the help

Great.

So here's a really important (to me) question:

for us MS noobs that don't know much about setting it up/tuning it and the ins and outs of it, are there specific threads we MUST read through and/or tutorials/faq's that are recommended.

I know the easy answer is "SEARCH" but there is a **** TON AND A HALF of threads about megasquirt and tons of different ones, from pnp to kits to diy and doing a simple search it appears we have about 2 years worth of reading to do to sifle through all the threads.

Are there any links and/or instructions that you or reverant will be providing to help us set these bad boys up and get our cars running right?

This doesn't mean we want you to spoon feed us, but it will definitely help us be proactive and "read up" on this stuff starting with teh basics and most important things so that we don't have 10000 threads in the ms section once we all start receiving our units.

I have a writeup that will kinda get you started, but it's based on the 89-97 kits I was building. But it get you started with the software and setup:

http://www.boostedmiata.com/MS/msq/i...uctions_TS.pdf

It needs revision.

The software is: http://www.efianalytics.com/TunerStu....999.7_RC3.exe

The firmware is (subject to change): http://msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/file...u_20100522.zip

the main MS-II documentation is here: http://msextra.com/doc/index.html#ms2

Dimitris has his own set of documents with is enhanced units, but this shoudl get you started.

Make sure you use Tuner studio, it's light years better than Megatune.

You will have to user TunerStudio with any of the MS2/Extra V3.x.x code variants. Either TunerStudio Lite (free version) or TunerStudio MS (registered version) will work, with the main difference being that the later will give you the fuel table autotune functionality.

This is how you set up your project in TunerStudio:

Everyone,

now that the group buy has ended and the order has been placed, I just want to let everyone know that I really appreciate the fact that you preferred to get a Megasquirt through us; $660-680 in this economy is no drop in the ocean! The group buy has come through far better than I could have hoped for: 22 units in total!

To avoid long waiting times, I'm going to start building the expansion boards in advance, to buy me some time until the kits arrive. On top of that, I'm going to find someone to help with the bulk of soldering (connectorboards, modules, etc, basically the really easy you-can't-****-this-up-for-the-life-of-me), so that we can save some time from that as well.

I understand that you guys paid $450 in advance for a unit, again I really appreciate that, so I want to minimize any waiting time for your new unit. I don't want to promise any lead times other than the ones I posted on the first post, we will see how it goes once the kits arrive.

I will keep you posted!

Dimitris
