That sounds good, although I don't mind waiting a little longer if it means the end product is of better quality e.g soldering. Wouldn't want anything being rushed, etc. not that you would.

Cheers

I've been looking at my design for the expansion board, and I realized that I can add up to 8 jumpers to enable/disable functions or change settings. For example, you could change the "turn on" temperature for the fans, or disable the VSS-based disabling of the fans, or change the digitally-controlled voltage regulation (higher or lower target voltage), etc.

If you can think of something, I can probably make it happen. So shoot your ideas!

Paypal usually, though not always, will catch on if it's more than a couple thousand in a day. I wouldn't mind adding on the additional percentage during final payment, or pre-emptively before then.

I took the hit in my $450 I sent. I think it was around $5?

Good news on the expansion board Reverant. I'll have a think...

I found out the hard way that you can't send a gift to a person outside the country of your confirmed address; ouch!

Based on recent account reviews, it’s apparent some of your customers
are still paying for purchases using the “personal” tab. As a result,
we’ve disabled your account’s “personal” payment option. All future
transactions will be sent through the “Purchase Goods / Services” option
and standard business transaction rates will apply. You still have full
access to your PayPal account and can continue to send, receive and
withdraw money.

I am pretty sure you can, as I have sent and received money a lot of times this way, mainly within EU, but also to US too...maybe there is a limitation in the amount that can be sent...

It took them about 2 years to catch on... probably because I received about $8,500 worth of payments in a few days. I might call and contest, but I do believe I have a "business" account so I can use a debit card linked to my account.

PayPal gets aggressive when you receive allot of payments, especially ones with no fees attached. Back in the day when no fees were collected on Personal accounts, they had a limit of $1500 in receipts per month. So running group buys through them on the cheap is a pain in the ***.

Unless you have another option, I'll probably be sending you a money order.

I started having everyone pay me that way when paypal decided it wanted to get random with my fees.

Once I had two $580 payments in a row. The fees on each were not the same. let me go find them.

edit:

$580 -17.12 $562.88
$580 -22.92 $557.08

The first one is they're typical 2.9% + .29 cents. They took another 1% on the second one, probably because the funds were non-US.

Reverant, I'm a noob in this, but with those 8 jumpers, can it be set for use COP's in sequential ignition mode in a future, and now manage the fans (starting temp) by those jumpers? I'm looking for a set of COP's here, but they're hard to find. And want to read/learn more of this before changing the stock ignition.

Yes, this is what I am thinking.

I was thinking along the same lines too. Great news if it is indeed the case as I'm currently running stock ignition but would like to run COPS in the future. If that could be a simple case of flipping a jumper once COPS are installed, that would be awesome.

So if you have more jumpers, I guess it's possible to have fan control and COPS if you desire?

Yes, with the jumpers it should be possible to have both COPs as well as adjustable fan control. I'm building a prototype board as we speak to complement an MS3 I am building.

This morning's prototype with 8 jumpers:

It's only 20 wires or so to connect to the MS3!
