I don't know when I will get round to installing mine, still lots to learn! I will cross that bridge when it gets in my possession.

So I have yet to hear from Braineybaby about the status of my ecu and what/when/how/etc.
Please update me guys, since I'm pretty sure mine is done and alreayd State-side. I am starting to run out of time and can hopefully get mine by next week cause I don't think I can have the car down much longer. Its already been ecu-less for almost a month :(

Just got guitarjons and my ECU in the post
Thanks Dimitris!
What's the score then?
1. plug it in
2. hook up the map line
3. set up a new project for MS-2 (as Im currently MS-1)
4. calibrate IAT and CLT sensors
5. calibrate TPS
6. sync timing
7. start engine and tune?
p.s. Is the colour-coding on the DB15 cable coded the same as the LC-1? I'll need to hook that up before obviously tuning so I need to know what lines are signals, power, grounds etc. Also out of interest, what map is on there?
Thanks again Dimitris and Braineack for all your hard work!

1) Plug it in
2) Hook up the map line
3) Setup a new project for MS2 (Microsquirt full: DISABLED, Microsquirt module: ENABLED)
4) IAT and CLT are precalibrated, you dont need to recalibrate
5) TPS is precalibrated to 114H/760L, you need to calibrate to your own TPS
6) Timing is preset to 4 degrees, you need to verify the timing after the car is warmed up
7) Verify that you can hear the fuel pump activating for 2s with the key on
8) The ECU has a base map for RX-8 injectors and 7-8psi for an MP62, you should have very little differences and you should be able to drive the car almost immediately.

Just a quickie to say that I installed mine this afternoon. It took a while as I had to remove my parallel MS1 install and I still have things like the retro-fitted CAS and GM CLT sensor to remove. I also wanted to do a tidy standalone install with soldered and shrink-wrapped connections and use cable sleeving etc.
Anyway, the MS2 - Simply awesome!
I was kind of dreading turning the key but it fired right up, idled and then died about 2 seconds later (ASE). I fired it up again and it idled well enough to warm up and for me to check the timing which I found (on the second attempt) was perfectly synced already The map Reverant has provided is actually bloody awesome for a base. I started from a cold start and also multiple times while warming and it started better than I've ever been able to make my MS1 start. Idle is a little high ~1100 rpm when at full operating temp, but considering this isn't even tuned means I have to take my hat off to Dimitris, you've done a mighty fine job mate!
First impressions are that cranking and idle is so smooth. I can't put my finger on it, but it's a certainly a good thing. The same can be said when I was revving it up, it was nice and smooth. Perhaps a combo of already good AE and sequential injection.
I'm making a start on auto-tuning fuel tomorrow and will run the safe spark map (compared to my MS1 map) until I'm ready to tune for power.
Again, a big BIG thanks to Dimitris for all your technical wizardry and also to Braineack for sorting the logistics of the kits.

Mine arrived today, very well packed, now I must wait to mount it when I have time. (and my car has been down since July 24).
