Hold the phone, your MS3 enhanced is going to have OBD II and nobody else is excited? Does that mean I can leave it on and go get faux emissions tested here where they just hook up to OBDII? That would be exactly what I have been waiting for!

No, it won't pass state emissions. This is intentional, I don't want to piss off the feds and the EPA.

No footnotes.

For example:

VSS VR input(s): Y (2)

This means Yes, two of them.

In that specific case it means "partial" (in other cases it means conditional etc). I consider the A/C system in the MS3 incomplete and it lacks several important features. For instance, there is no minimum or maximum RPM for the A/C operation, adjustable time delay for each fan and the A/C clutch.

Just because you don't need footnotes, doesn't mean that we can understand what you mean without making the footnotes in this thread instead as you're doing. You did make the chart.

Yeeeep. Perfect. Just waiting for enhanced.

Edit: Posting while Rev did. Damnit. Let's just hope there's an offroad use only setting in ECU to make it pass.

Nuts, but good point. OK, MS3 it is. I'll be PM'ing this weekend Dear Mr. Rev. I do want some Baclava with my MS3!

Braineack 12-14-2012 05:38 PM

its not going to pass obdii no matter. not the point of it.

richyvrlimited 12-14-2012 05:57 PM

I think the point of the OBDII is you can use the OBD port as an aux gauge with your phone and all that entails.

Not to pass your weird emissions inspections you have over there.

Just about to Pay Rev for a basic MS3.... Can't wait!

This. Easy to use output for seeing realtime data on a myriad of OBD-II readers, as well as fault codes using the MS3 CEL framework.

Again, you will NOT pass state OBD-II inspection with this feature. This is not what it is designed for.

What will the price go up to after Dec 31st, Rev?

I'll be buying a basic MS3 in the next few months definitely, just trying to figure out when now.

Around 15%. Will depend on the exchange rate.

Gt2560rMiata 12-16-2012 01:41 PM

Does this mean your price for an EnhancedMS2 may be going down ?

Reverant 12-16-2012 01:43 PM

Highly unlikely. The Enhanced MS2 has more components and is more difficult to assemble and test versus the Basic MS3.

Reverant, could you clear your inbox? Trying to PM you.

Reverant 01-02-2013 02:29 AM

Inbox cleared.

Amellrotts 02-23-2013 10:45 AM

Please tell me more about the traction control feature. I assume I need to upgrade certain componenets on the car to ABS parts, but what else will be required to take advantage of this feature and how does it work. Thanks!

Reverant 02-23-2013 01:46 PM

For the '99?

tuckermon 02-23-2013 02:16 PM

Rev, I recently bout a basic MS3 from you for the MSM. Does it have the OBDII integrated in it? Bought it in December 2012

Amellrotts 02-23-2013 02:17 PM

No, none of my ECUs has OBD-II yet.
