I finally got around to getting tires mounted on the 15x11's I was shocked at the difference in the 10's vs 11's

Here is the difference a couple years ago when I went from 9's to 10's

This is as far as I got this evening. At least they fit with the car in the air and the fenders on the floor.

They will rub a little in all sorts of places but not too bad. biggest rub will be with the spring at ride height or less while turning. 2.25" ID springs offsetting the shock tops to lean the shocks inboard at the top is needed.

That depends on offset.

I wish we still had some 275s on 9s for a side by side stack comparison. 9s, 10s, 11s.

If I had thought about it I could have done it. I use 15x9's for my rain tires. I could throw a set of junk tires on the 9's and stack them against the 11's....but I sold the 10's and they are packed up and ready to ship.

And at bonus time I'm ordering another set of 15x11's and getting him to make me a matching set of 9's and will sale my 040 9's at that time. I wish 949 had been able to get the 11's to market sooner but I couldn't wait any longer.

The Bogarts were WAYYYY more money than a set of 949's but they also look about 11,000,000 times better and actually are lighter.

Any more offset out and there is serious crash of tire against the firewall. There is a range of offset that produces acceptable amount of tire rub with this setup. It's only about a 5mm range.

Try running some 23.5-10-15 that really come out to 24+ diameter. Rubs all the things.

Hopefully my 23.5-11-16 wont be as bad. I really don't want to tub my fenders.

What inspired you to go 11"? I also think they would be better than 10's but bogarts are $$$. Im curious to hear about how they feel to you on course.

Increased contact patch. Decreased sidewall flex.

Most definitely they work better in terms of grip and brake away characteristics I can attest to that. 245's love being mounted on 10" though.

This thing revs faster than any piston engine I have personally been around Taking all that weight out of the valve train and the rotating assembly was...wow. Rings seated while I was breaking in the cam. Compression numbers were 216, 214,212,214.

You can just ever so slightly hear the cams at idle....didn't bump duration enough to make it lope.

Wow, great compression numbers. Will you be doing your own tuning or do you have a shop/individual tune your car?

A6s obviously... 11 v 9 one wheel/tire high (not a pair stacked to exaggerate the difference)
