Added another temp bung...I'm running out of things to do. But at least now I have exterior temperature?

And here is the completed hotside. Everything is done here except the valve cover breather and the oil feed line.

Sounds about right. I'll probably go up to 3" at some point. But for now it works.

How will a 3" help? You will have to run a 3" to 2.5" reducer right?

I would run 3" intake piping, and a 3" filter. I'll be running this for now.

But...itsn't the turbine compressor inlet 2.5"?

Yes. The pressure losses would be in the 2 feet of intake piping. Not at the compressor inlet.

ohh ok. So now I need to figure out if I can shove a 3" intake in my car. I can barely fit the 2.5" filter as it sits right now lol.

I'm going to do some dyno testing. With the 2.5" intake, and without. If I see gains without the intake I'll go up to a 3".

I honestly don't really think its going to matter on my car. I am not making enough power to really warrant a 3" intake. Unless someone can advise me otherwise, I think I'm just gonna get the 2.5" filter.

Im cluttering up you thread. Ill leave now. Thx. bye.

2.5 would probably be fine for your setup.

DTM restrictor is 2x28mm -- total area of 1230 mm^2. That gives them around 460 hp. If you run the numbers on various other series, it's around 1 hp per 3 mm^2.

A 2.5" inlet is 3165 mm^2, or about 2.5x the size of the DTM one. Since that's good for something like a thousand horsepower, I think it's safe to say that nobody has ever built a Miata engine that would stretch the power limits of that inlet.

AEM dryflow is the best filter on the market. 3" is probably the minimum you want to run on that 6758. I'm going to attempt to fit 3.5 on my setup.

Remember restriction from diameter is over the length. And its not the power supporting capacity you're after its reducing pressure drop at the compressor inlet.
