Well, I figured by 2020 I will want some of the new cool things they'll come up with, so I better get in early.

I guess your having my front UCAs, and my rear uprights, both of which are somewhat essential to allowing the car to have wheels attached to it and support its own weight, doesn't count.

Now we're going to hear about how Ms Aidan being home for spring break is going to somehow affect your ability to get work done in the garage, because reasons. Sheesh.

It is when you sell suspension components for miatas.

Aren't you supposed to be having relations right now? Stop posting.

Plane still hasn't landed. And she thinks I'm at ORP for an instructor clinic. Instead of waiting at the airport for her.

At least they turn me on.

speaking of clutch discs.

I got 6k miles out of the last set. They had some meat left on them. Might have been able to stretch them to 8-10k. Riveted discs are not the way to go, but it's all I've got right now. I'm actually slightly worried about them holding with the new motor.

Plan is to run these another year, and make a decision. I need to drive Richards carbon Kevlar discs, and Albert's ceramic. If I can live with ceramic that is easy mode. And cheap. If I cant stand the ceramic and like the carbon kevlar I will get a set of those discs made. Hopefully the longetivity is decent.

Oh and I bought a spare 6 speed just in case

id like to have the t5 in next year though. And if anyone is wondering you can get dog engagement g force gearsets for $1600. Good for 500ft/lbs....

Ceramic is undrivable. I wouldn't suggest it for any street driving.

I wish I had driven Richards when it was in. I'm slightly worried about the holding power of organic

Aidan my ceramic discs are sitting in my garage, you're welcome to try them.

Edit: but Martin said "Richard you're going to hate this clutch", and Josh said "it's undriveable on the street." But I have confidence you can prove them wrong! Maybe a little Slick 50, or a touch of His'n'Hers on the discs will do it.

I'm not looking for easy to drive. I'm looking for driveable. I have fresh organic discs. And I'm going to run them. But I'm thinking about a backup. With any luck I'll try Albert's at thunderhill in July.

More bearing awesomeness. Turns out there was some miscommunication. And the standard non-HX bearings are what the machine shop wanted. These have been backordered since January and we're even harder to find than the HX bearings. So now I've got 2 sets or HX rod bearings and a full set on non-HX bearings on the way....

anyone need some bearings?

Most likely. Gotta do some on-track Surface tuning.
