I just like the contrast. To me, the red looks way to monotone. I kinda feel that way about the silver as well but I'm not sure. You really have to see the car in your color to make up your mind.

I dunno, chrome trim around the windshield on the NC was about the worst styling choice I've ever seen in my entire life.

Actually, I'd say the worst styling choice Mazda ever made was to cancel the FD.

Even the original Honda NSX?

IMO: The red roofed version just didn't look right after seeing the black roofed version.

Especially the NSX.

Of course, yellow looks better than either one.

Black hardtop in red car looks epic.

Yah, I'm just not a fan of a different colored panels on any car. Even if its dry carbon fiber, just looks bad to me. Gotta all match, unity and such. Also hate chrome, even on really really expensive cars, I think it looks dumb on anything newer than 1970.

Ever heard of they saying, "too much of one thing is bad for you".

I got my car from the body shop on friday (yesterday). They did a great job (extra points for free car wash). I can't even tell it was blended in, which is what is supposed to happen. Its also nice being able to open my door all the way again. No more squeezing into the car.
Of course I took pics from the back of the car because I'm a bafoon. (That camber tho)

Today I made a lot of progress with the splitter. Here is what it looks like:

Its alumilite

This is where I left off for the night.

It turns out that I had to re-make all of the brackets because none of the holes lined up and they were either too short or too long. So, its a good thing I am doing this now instead of the night before a track day. I didn't finish with the brackets so I will resume tomorrow. I have no idea how this is supposed to be mounted or was originally mounted so I'm just picking places that look strong and going from there. Its a tedious job, especially working by myself trying to hold it up while positioning etc. I should have pics up tomorrow of the final product. Stay tuned.

Apparently I don't have a picture with the HT on from the front, but this gives you an idea.

If I were to get a black hardtop, I would definalelt match the A-pillars.

Another question for you guys. What is optimal height for a splitter? Im trying to level it out but I don't know what height to set it to. By height I mean space between the ground and bottom of the splitter.

Edit: NVM. Should have searched before asking. Found my answer.

1/2" off the ground at your max braking load.

Im just gonna set it at 3.5". I have no idea how much dive im getting under braking or how to measure that.

My issue is the front is set at 3.5" but the rear left is at 4" for some reason. So I'm not sure how to compensate for that. I can't just drill another hole in the bracket because the front bracket (one connecting to crash beam) won't let it droop down. So im at a loss of what to do.

Find a nice, smooth road with room. Put zip ties on the front shock rods down at the base near where it inserts into the shock body. After getting up to speed and standing on the brakes, see how far the zip ties moved up. Maybe it's crude, but if the road is smooth it should get you in the ball park. Unless I'm missed something.

That would never work unless I take the wheels off at the road and put the zip ties on. My driveway is a mountain. And there is no acess to the shock shafts with the car on the ground.
