Happend during autocross run. Was in boost and I heard a little noise and boost was gone. It was not a loud SNAP and actually took like 5 seconds to realize there was no boost (lol).

Housing looks clean with no signs of scratches or anything. I'll take the turbo out later today and take moar pics.

Gonna talk to Full Race tomorrow because *APPARENTLY* its still on warranty. Purchase date is June 16, 2011.

I thought that maybe some object made it through the combustion chamber, but then I would have a broken blade - not a missing turbine wheel.

Airwerks are so cheap and awesome.

I would never buy an EFR just because they cost twice what they should. Like the idea behind them though.

 

For the record my comments aren't meant to say that the EFR sucks, just that people are over hyping them WAY too much and only time will tell if they'll really prove to be a success or a giant failure.

I dunno, I just can't justify 2+ grand on a turbo that an 800 dollar one and 200 dollar wastegate and 200 dollar BOV can perform as good as.

It's all in a neat little package, sure, but that means nothing to us since we are blessed with room in our engine bays.

 

Welllll it DID spool realll nicely. Gt30 power with GT25 spool is win

 

I'll give it that.

 

Its also closer to $1500 than 2 grand. I'm happy that everything else is fine. Everything I actually planned for is working out.
