I'll be ecstatic if that's true. And if my trackspeed radiator arrives in June, I'll buy a lottery ticket.

I don't have a problem with estimates. I just like to plan for worst case scenario.

In that case, your house is going to need a new roof, and the water heater is about to self destruct.

Also. Getting that stupid european turbo seal thing that hustler just had to do.

You will know it is accurate when they ship. I'm rooting for borg but they had a mega fail with this product launch. Sucks to be them :(

If you're lucky your water heater will take out your roof on it's way up.

Sure, if they work, but they seem to be failing at a high rate. If Soviet's EFR lasted a little while longer, that may have been a $1450 paperweight. Nice. What's their warranty anyway, time wise, and if you are not the original purchaser?

It'd be like making a really nice manifold that gives lots of power/spool gains but with a design flaw that made some fail quickly during normal use (like the wrong choice of material), and then still trying to justify the inflated price because it was better before it broke.

Agree with Timmeh:

Its not worth dick as a paperweight. Well, maybe like 20 bux. I'd def pay 20 bux for a broken borg just so I can look at it all day.

Ebay t00bular manifold anyone?

"no new EFR turbos in the country since approximately Fall 2011"

So much for that big "Made in the USA" tag on the turbo...

Did they shut down the plant that builds these or what? Are they importing titanium from China? Bueller? Bueller?

This is very frustrating and I hope Borg Warner gets it taken care of asap. I am extremely excited to see what the upcoming kit will look like from Trackspeed, and I don't want Borg Warner to ---- this up.

Read what I wrote above.

They will not be shipping new EFRs until March 2013. And all of them are surely pre-sold.

I just sincerely hope that the new turbos will first go towards filling warranty requests rather than filling new orders.

Garrett does want me to run a GTX2860R (they contacted me) but the thought of parking my car for another month and doing all the reliability mods (v-bands, safety wire, etc) makes me want to throw up.

If I knew from the beginning maybe I would go Garrett. But at this point I'm waist deep into EFR.

So were they going to give you one or do they just want you to buy one?

pretty much.
let's see, work I would need to do to get a free GTX (assuming it would be free) running
- get a new exhaust manifold. v-band, EWG
- get an EWG
- add EWG pipe to downpipe
- add BOV to intercooler pipe
- drill v-band housing bolts for safety wire

Not only it would take at least $1500, but my car would be out of commission for a month (more like 2 months)
