I think I'd get Abe to make an adapter to connect the manifold to the DP and run NA for the time being and practice driving skills. That's just me.

I think they call that adapter a stock downpipe.

But, but, but more power will always make me go faster then less power.

I get what you're saying by "driving skills" but I'd rather walk than drive this car N/A.

That would be the equivalent of building a mansion and living in the basement

What if it was my parnets who bought the mansion, and I'm just living in the basement because that's the american way?

Yes, but once the factory parts are gone...probably easier to make an adapter than pull the entire setup out and purchase stock junk if it's no longer sitting around. And if this were to ever happen again...hope not.

But I guess you've made up your mind about not running NA.

If I wanted to run NA I have a bone stock 94 sitting in my drive way. would rather drive that than a cripped turbo car.

My point is that it's a heresy to drive this car NA. It's got ~$6k of supporting parts just for that turbo....

Ive been talking to Raffi. FYI
"to start, if the turbo is under warranty and this is a known issue for the small frame turbos, BW will warranty the turbo for free, and NO the customer does not have a "balance due"...
Also, the warranty is 12 months, yes. BUT since BW knows that this unit has the batch of faulty wheels, anything beyond the 12 months is a case by case basis where I have seen all of them get replaced, even the ones that were 18 months old. BW stands behind their product, especially on a brand new launch like the EFR. If the failure coincides with the faulty batch, then they would proceed with warranty regardless of when it was purchased as long as there wasn’t clear and obvious misuse or abuse to the turbo."

"there is no need to start any hysteria, as some of the forum members are trying to create, and if anyone has any questions to feel free and email raffi@full-race.com or jon@full-race.com. "
Yes i'm worried about my turbine exploding and i have reason to be but at the same time i know that if something does happen its going to get taken care of which lets me sleep better at night. ---- happens and i plan on dealing with it.

on a positive note i still cant wait to see what kind of power this thing is going to make with the FE3.

Good info but why do we have to pull it from Full Race?

I'm not trying to start hysteria, I just want companies to be clear and transparent about their issues.

I don't know if I've ever heard of a shop being so right in an estimate/diagnosis!

True story.

Speaking generally here but i have had issues with companies in the past that didn't keep me updated on parts they were waiting on and issues they were having on their end. As a customer I am WAY more understanding and patient with a company if they give me updates on whats going on on their end and explanations on what is causing the issue. I understand its more work on the companies end but that's the price you pay for excellent customer service status.

I just got a response from Raffi @ FR. Looks like I'm good...

"Hey Ari, there were a small amount of them which had the faulty wheel fusion but that batch was not part of the batch that you purchased. Your turbo was the more recent batch where the revision had already been done."
