Does anyone have any tricks to remove the delrin bushings?

I bent some control arms hitting a tire wall and I am trying to transfer the bushings without destroying them.

Its a bitch, if even possible. I try to catch the inner seam with a thin punch, but that almost always ends up distorting the bushings. I haven't tried heat yet. Another thought is to plug one side of the bore and hydraulic them out with grease and a press. Or if arms are trash, slit the bores so they spring open and the bushings will fall out. If all else fails, hit me up and Ill make just the delrin pieces you need.

That's what I was afraid of.

I will hoping to not destroy the control arms so I can use them in a pinch. But I'd rather have to bushings so I'll split the arms.

I believe the posted RLCA is incorrect. It's listed at 235mm. But I think it's actually supposed to be 260mm. Also if it was in fact 235mm it would never fit in the chassis that's listed at 250mm.

Can someone confirm this?

If my horrible memory serves me I believe both of my arms measured 262mm. I will measure again when I get home. Definably please post what you come up with.

I am halfway through a poly-bronze retrofit, with all of the arms fitted up with the poly, so far so good.

The issue that has arisen is the RUCA-O. My spare arms are the modified ones from the racecar, that are fitted with camber adjusters - the same as the other camber adjusters on the car. This means it also uses the same 12mm bolt, not the stock 10mm one in that location. That in turn means that the supplied SADFAB hardware for the RUCA-O can't be used.

Is it possible to repurpose the sleeve/bearing from one of the other locations with camber adjusters? I realise that this is not a common issue so I am not expecting you already have a fix, but if the basis of a fix was available I'd be happy to arrange any lathe work here (say shortening a sleeve) if this was necessary.

The other option is to get some delrin bushings machined up, maybe with offset bores for additional camber. Because it is a road car (that sees track duty), delrin is not my preferred option, and I would prefer the ability to fine tune the camber with the adjuster (rather than a fixed offset).

You should just be able to drill the sleeve out to 12mm from 10mm. The length should be the same.

You can do this with a hand drill in a vise if you really had to. Use a 31/64", or a 1/2" will work if you're ok with a little oversize.

I was provided a data point by one of my customers regarding longevity and wear.

150 track hours on a delrin kit in 1.5 years:
No discernable wear or slop in the delrin locations and only the fist signs of wear on the bronze bearings and sleeves, and poly bushing thrust flanges in the compliance locations. This cars bushings are re-greased after every track day by the owner. This car and driver won PTC at Sebring last October.

I'm about to perform the bushing swap. I didn't see it(probably because I'm blind), but what kind of grease is recommended for re-grease the bushing?

Sorry, what I meant was if there was a preferred brand or specific bottle that people were using, but I guess I'll just get myself the first bottle of marine type lithium based grease on the shelf.
