Looks so hardcore. You may have already mentioned it, but what style manifold will you be building?

 

went through the whole thread again and i didnt notice mention of what kind of racing this will be doing... just the minimum weight.

Looks very swanky and im jealous.

 

The manifold will be a twin scroll and as equal length as I can make it. The good thing is I have plenty of room between the strut tower and engine. Almost twice as a Miata!

It will be road racing in the conference (ICSCC). It would've been in GT class, but they don't allow a turbo there. So it will be SPM or SPO.

I don't know man, a 3-rotor peripheral port sounds pretty bomber!

 

The aero parts are here. First the wing and I will mount the mirrors and the rest tomorrow!

 

And the mirrors are on as well!

 

Its kind of funny, but in its current state it looks like someone grafted parts from a 2nd gen camaro and a c3 corvette to make a hobby stock car and put a wing on it. Sick *** build, and I feel it'll look less like that with all the glass back in and headlights and paint.

You should go with a B6 instead of a BP, because the 1.6L is more "revvy"

 

If I wanted the revs, I would put a rotary in it! I am happy at 6800-7000 RPM!
EFR 8374 wouldn't spool worth $hit with the B6!

I opted from the module to wait and see how much data I get from the Haltech

 

I am going to order MegaSquirt module as well. It will be nice to see all the information out of there as well as not needing to order other sensors beside oil temp and pressure which I got with this one!
I was playing around with it on the bench last night and it is pretty cool! Where do you have your GPS antenna mounted?

 

My **** is still in foam! Haven't taken time to fondle it at all I haven't given mounting location much thought to tell the truth.

 

The steering column is in now! I can steer the car now!

 

Finally with the long weekend here I had some time to put the turbo manifold together. Definitely fun work!
