I don't need to see a cast stainless manifold proven. Still kicking myself for not picking one up during the group buy.

well that's a real cool story bro.
I do.
because theory and reality often do not go hand in hand.

Not theory. Other platform cast manifolds, stock cast turbo manifolds, FM cast manifolds, etc.

But sure. This specific one hasn't been fully proven.

Me loves long tubey manifolds long time. I found this link interesting... Long tube Vs Short tube runner length Turbo Manifolds

I have ordered the TSE studs and a vibrant turbo flange. Ideas on adding extra supports tot he flange are welcome. I am thinking of putting triangular supports that also act at fins on the flange. Similar to the supports that TurboTim added to the wastegate tubes on the Absurdflow manifolds. Aside from cast vs welded, I think the TSE manifold has the longest runners of the cast manifolds for miatas.

Edit: I'll gladly accept one of the TSE manifolds for testing.

I am now debating sending you out mine. I know I probably won't actually be driving on it for ages.

To mount that manifold, I'd need to build a new downpipe and new hot-side intercooler pipe.

I might be able to help with that.. For science purposes.

Agreed. I've seen plenty cracked cast manifolds in the past.

I've seen a fair share of both cast and tubular manifolds that have cracked as well.

Props! If given the opportunity, I'll take you up on that. I can also get a dyno to compare setups (ARTech long-tube vs TSE cast) with everything else being the same.

My cast manifold has already lasted longer than the first iteration of a Sch40 tubular manifold I ran.

I'm very interested in this and was about to pull the trigger on the TSE stuff to replace the perfectly functioning Artech stuff, but couldn't find justification ergo decided to focus on brakes and oil cooler first.

I would guess the tse cast mani would make more power earlier in the rpm band, but taper off in power, compared to a long tube header from Abe.

200whp on a BP05 longblock should take 10-11psi.

I don't have a baseline from my NB2, but Emilio was kind enough to shoot me a DRF file for a stock NB2 to compare.

These dynos don't really show anything in comparison to a long tube setup....

... but they do show that the power definitely does taper up top, even after they went to the 3" exhaust.

At 7psi... The efr is vaguely aware of its metaphysical star child existence at 7psi.

Sorry for the off topic garbage in your thread 99mx5!
