They also do indeed take different pads as well.

Just purchase 2 rear NA ABS uprights. Parts came in for VR board. Let's get this traction control ball rolling.

<br /><br />Ha. You can use dynalite pads in the dynapros caliper. I'm going back to the dynapro.

You kinda have me wanting to keep them now, though I'm not gonna upgrade to Ms3 anytime soon...

I'd trade you tone rings for new axle nuts, though.

Even better, just let me know.

I still plan on cutting some plexy windows for you at some point soon, too.

I'll send you an axle but whenever I figure out that I need it...if I can find any. I reused mine last time.

Poor guy. He's probably rolling around in his sleep right now. "Dynapro. DYNAPRO!!!"

For me, I'm not sure its worth another $300 to replace my Dynalites with Dynapros but if you are starting from scratch it's probably the way to go. Neat find!

Also, its says "some" dynalite pads, not all pads.

Here is some fuel for the fire; I thought the point of upgrading to the Dynapro was the radial mount. These (new?) Dynapros with the ear mounts kinda defeat that whole benefit, so what's the point? How many of us are actually out driving a Dynalite? Is the Dynapro worth the extra $50 per caliper over the Dynalite?

$97 Dynalite http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda...13-1081ca.html
$144 Dynapro http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda...t/61-1745.html

And here I thought you were a broke, cheap bastard. Just sayin'

I researched the hell out of lug vs radial a few years back when I was just getting into this stuff. And as I recall, it was determined (with FEA i think?) that unless the spindle has radial mounts, the bracket to convert from radial to lug negates any benefit of the mounting system, leaving you with just a stiffer caliper.

There was a whole thread on it, I think this is it, I just dont have time to read through it all right now.

Having said that, there is a benefit if you are going to play with rotor sizes. Instead of a new bracket for each rotor, you just stack different spacers. Wilwood makes the bracket already.

Ok so that in and of itself is a huge benefit for you guys playing with this stuff, provided only the diameter of the rotor changes. Dunno how I would feel about putting spacers between the adapter bracket ear and the spindle mount. I mean, its all in shear so maybe it does not matter? I'm not an injuneer, so I'll leave that to you guys to figure out

Its a legitimate concern.

Im not an ME, this is what ive learned from internets, so take it for what its worth: Shear strength of a bolted joint is still determined to a degree by the clamping force of the fasteners, which could be limited by the spacers compression strength.

With that said, use the right material, its been done, dont think its an issue.

And Im picking through that thread a little as I get moments here and there and bundy (the structural ME who I think FEAed the stuff)said:

"Eliminating the adapter would be better but if you have an adapter it is what it is and the radial through bolt attachment to the caliper is still better. "

Hawks are why I run. I thought the dynalite was just stronger. I'll go read more.
