Aidan's loose oily bunghole actually runs a track lap

Same, didnt spit a shim. Though pounding at 8500 rpm seems to wear out the intake valves/seats. Another car I know that revs high managed to crack a factory lifter through, throw the ship, score the lifter bore in the head and the cam, but thats with stock valve springs. If you want to do this your cheap *** way, get supertech valves with the extra long stems and hand grind them to the correct length to use the toyota shimmless lifters. You cant spit a shim thats not there.

I have thought about that. But not doing to do valves right now.
I'll probably just run as is.
Unless I need like new shims for every single valve. and it ends up cheaper than buying a pile of mazda shims lolol.

Supertech valve seals ordered.
I'll probably pick a vvt head and start stripping it down. Send it out to get hot tanked, surfaced, and checked. Then install this valve train in there.

SUBs have less mass than SOBs, which should reduce hp losses and wear. Protection from valve float is an additional benefit. I don't have them but I have had trouble finding 6th on the track and ending up with 4th while upshifting from 5th. **** spins fast, lol. Thankfully I didn't let the clutch all the way out, or don't think I did anyway. I'm using doubles and hyd lifters.
