I do not have a greddy bov. That became @hi_im_sean's at some point. It was legit though. My turbo has a built in bypass valve.

Was going to say about the greddy, grab a FV - I love mine, no off boost leaks at all. The ebay knock off that came with my car was terrible. It's now my work desk paper weight.

Yes. I love it. Its simple, quiet easy.

My turbo is basically an EFR, but 20 years old. And a lot shittier

Wastegate looks just like the EFR wastegate and has a built in bypass valve.

See sexy good angle wastegate

Small parts keep rolling in. Waiting on a scary package from monk, then ABS install will start.

TinyIOx case designed by yank.

2 layers of circuit board, I'm using 8 out of the 9 available ADC inputs. For a variety of stuff. 2 DB9 connectors for in/out.

Still trying to get my truck back on the road. Rebuilt the carbs. Now **** wont ******* start. I hate anything non-efi.

Once truck is up and running I will be stripping the suspension off the miata. Powdercoating it, and installing all the abs sensors, new rear bearings, and xidas.

Leaving the rates. 600 front w/ helpers. 350 rear w/o helpers.

Very stoked.

I also finally started an entire list of mods I've done to the car. When I get bored I'll start linking this thread to it, and eventually have a table of contents at the front of the thread.

Carb(s), as in multiple? What carb(s)?

Did you touch the distributor? The last time I pulled my FE apart I put the distributor back in 180° off. Good thing Gesso showed up and convinced me not to slit my wrists

Air, fuel and spark. Come on now, its not that hard

1 carb. My issue is its being totally inconsistent. Sometimes starts fine. Sometimes won't idle. Sometimes cranks forever with nothing.

Autolite? Holley? Edelbrock/Carter?

Mine is wearing an Autolite 4v 4100 from a mid 60's 390FE powered fullsize Ford land yacht of some type. It starts and runs great but I will admit I've had problems with the 'hot air' choke resetting properly. I had the same issue with the stock Autolite 2v 2100 or 2150 or whatever it was so maybe I just suck at chokes.

Motorcraft/Autolite 2100. My choke is gone because its an aftermarket header. I had a cable choke that got stuck.

Wasdat.

Truck used to run fine. Randomly started misfiring until it wouldn't even Rev above 1500. Then wouldn't start. Rebuilt the carb and its not acting great. Might try and do points today.

There should be a vac port inside the choke body on the side of the carb. In stock configuration it uses engine vacuum to pull air through a tube that runs from the air cleaner > metal tube at the exhaust manifold > up to the choke. From what I understand because it draws from the air cleaner there is very little actual flow, but if you remove the choke cap it makes for one hell of a vacuum leak.

However you are right, yours sounds like an ignition issue :P

Gas should be fine. I drive the truck a decent amount. But I'll try and find a drain plug

It's going to get a powerstroke at some point. Just need the fe to survive until then.

Need to tune the fuel with the vacuum gauge and get a better throttle return spring. Then she is perfect.
