Aidan's loose oily bunghole actually runs a track lap
Aww man. I was hoping your dipstick tube was going to pop out and that we could be 'related thread' twins again!
But really though... Ugh. That ******* blows. Hopefully it's tolerable enough with the way you have things routed that it'll do as is till you decide to slap something else together.

I was browsing the new posts on here and my coworker happened to be sitting next to me. They spotted this thread title and said "wtf is that?"
Keep up the good work

Interesting. Does the smoke/vapor coming out of the catch can smell like burnt oil, or sweet like vapors? Clearly it's smoking out the exhaust too, sorry to see this. My new motor definitely emits vapors out of the catch can, but doesn't really catch any oil at all, and doesn't smoke like that either. Just a data point, I think some condensation/vapor out of the catch can is pretty normal.
Also, sorry to see this man. After just putting in so much work on my car to get it running, i don't know what i'd do if it had to come back apart. Maybe park it in the corner for another 4 years.

This isn't a built motor. Stock motor I thought was good to go. I'll check leakdown again but it seemed ok.
I guess my question is, if I don't run out of oil what is the worst that will happen. Supposed to leave for Laguna in a week, and that's a long road trip :(

It was a stock motor pulled out of a friends race car. He thought it didn't smoke and ran well, but I guess it smoked the last time it was on the dyno.
Hindsight I should have done a leakdown and some more investigation, no such thing as a free lunch.

My friend said he has one of those cockpit adjustable boost controllers on his race car. If he was ever down on power, he'd give it a few spins, essentially using it as a push to pass ****. He did this on the stock msm ecu and later his ms3 I tuned.

Just keep adding oil and send it. Youll have to change the oil more frequently because the blowby will dirty the oil quicker. I had a old Prelude that literally drank oil, just kept adding oil for 5 years before it finally broke a ringland.
