Car still needs a diff. I think I can swing a sick day on Thursday. Need to see if Greg will let me run a session for shakedown or if I need to instruct a whole day.

Dreaded inner CV carnage. Simple half shaft swap and you're back in business.

Haven't confirmed the diff is good yet. Can't get my spares from storage until Hailey wakes up for work.

I think a retaining ring snapped. If I push the CV back together it holds fine, it just fell apart almost.

Advanced Auto is replacing them under warranty.

Find some OE axles, the parts store ones are usually bad, and almost never ready for the track

And they have a lifetime warranty.

No good way to cut it off. Next time you have the diff apart just pull the pinion out and hammer the damper off. Its not doing any harm there loose that it wasnt doing when it was attached.

Wrong. I've had two of them come loose and they cause such tremendous driveline vibrations while loose that you'll swear the car is coming apart at the seams.

My diff shop charges me $40 to pop off the pinion flange, remove it, and reset the pinion preload. I have also just done it at the track without resetting the preload, but I would not advise doing that.

I just cut it off with a Dremel. Should work.

2 new axles installed, and cylinders filled with atf and acetone mix.

Going to let it sit for 24-48 hours and drain it.

if you miss a track day because they are free replacements, you still miss the track day.

or any other event.
or if you need a tow.

free axle replacements also still need replacing.

im with curls.
