Aidan's loose oily bunghole actually runs a track lap
Sport brakes are an upgrade for your 1.6 fodder, so buy sport brake pads?
Also, I may be stupid but I seem to remember someone saying you can put 1.8 calipers on sport brackets so you can run sport rotors and regular 1.8 pads. It would be pretty easy to confirm if you had all the parts sitting there.

But right now I have some used cobalts I can run on the 1.8 brakes (I think) so no new pads needed.

After this year I will be doing a big brake upgrade. The whole point of this is not to waste money on something I'm replacing in 4 months.

And thats backwards. You can use 1.8 calipers on sport brackets with sports rotors but you still need sport pads. Its the bracket that the pad fits in, not the caliper.

Plus I think there are issues with sports pads, and not having hardware or whatever. All I really want is 1.8 brake brackets on the front lol.

I *think* loaned my NB 1.8 calipers/brackets to Gesso for the Exocet? Though he should have had an extra set from his NB project so maybe it was just lines and pads? I'll try to remember to check tonight.
If I do still have them I'd probably just loan them to you because while I eventually want them back, they are just taking up space in my garage at this point.

Yesyesyes. A loan is all I need. I will be forever grateful. The real question is can you get them to me before Friday

I know they are NOT installed on my car so they've got to be somewhere. USPS ships disturbingly fast to Oregon, or I can just 2 day FedEx/UPS them. I'd probably need to run home at lunch and see if I still have them, then pack them up and ship them today.
There are a lot of IFs in the above couple posts, but I'll try to let you know ASAP.

Ok tell me how much this brake plan wins sucks.

Track day friday. Run the 1.6 brakes.

Get 1.8 fronts from G, buy some DTC-60 fronts to match the cobalt rears. The bigger and more pain in our *** weak spot is the caliper in my opinion. Let's pick a wilwood, pick a cheap rotor and I can design a braket around them. We may even be able to find plans if we use a corrado? rotor. I think we can find a better rotor though.

Why not the 11.75 rotor everyone uses.

I could but I don't have 1.8 pads. And I need to burn up these cobalts.
