Sweet! Car looks good, are there end pieces for the trunk lid to finish off the lip that attach to the rear quarters? Also what is wrapped around the fart can?

I'm not sure what you mean, but I'll go ahead and say no...ha. I wrapped the wiring for the bumper lights in the back (it gets tucked into the bumper support normally)

Aah. I was just noticing how the trunk lid ends abruptly on each side and thought maybe there should be a lil triangle piece to go on each side of the trunk lid.

ah ok I get what you're saying now. I actually prefer it to end at the trunk rather than carry over to the body as well.

Tore it apart last night, turns out the cam gears were installed in the wrong orientation! Thank goodness for non-interference motors. I forgot my laptop yesterday, so if it doesn't rain later I'm going to attempt a start tonight after work. Cross your fingers.

So I got it to start, but only for 10-20 seconds at most. One odd thing that happened was the clutch hard line was arching to the chassis and creating some serious sparks- not sure what's up with that. Any ideas?

You need to make sure the grounding strap is in place.

There should be one from the back of the engine bolted to the shelf under the brake master cylinder, there should also be a bunch of grounds attached to the back of the intake manifold that go to the ecu and wideband.

The car goes to the dyno on the 22nd- that should give me enough time to sort the grounding issue.

There should also be one at the back of your PPF and the battery to chasis ground in the trunk.
