Will this over extend the slave and make it a two piece unit? Might still be worth it. He can just have someone reassemble it so he doesn't put it together backwards or something....

When the slave reaches the end of its ability to help at the end of its stroke a little fluid will go into its dust boot. NBD. I'd say a little fluid spill is the least of his concerns at present.

Fae, there is one more thing that might be holding it up. Did you remove the PPF?

I will never cease to be amazed at how this one person can invent problems that none of the other 900,000 miatas on the planet could ever have.

Mazda only built about 300k Miatas. Fael still has room for originality.

From the wiki article:

"by February 2011 over 900,000 MX-5s had been built and sold around the world.[2]"

Fail. Mazda built ~300,000 1.6 miatas by the end of MY 93.

According to the old guys at M.net, Mazda sold ~300k Miatas in the US market. None of this is in ANY way relevant to whether or not Fael has the ability to come up with new and inventive ways to screw up his car.

Struggled with this mothrfukker for a few more hours tonight.

WHAT THE FUKK WHY

I ripped off the shift fork bootie and sprayed a can of kroil in there. didn't do jack.

BTW the shift fork freely slides around. then again, the transmission is about 3/4" away from the oil pan. i should have pulled the motor to get this out. i am mangling the shiz out of my oil pan. that is not good.

for the record the transmission CAN wiggle around at various angles. the input shaft is probably still in the outmost disc though. the PPF is not an obstruction.

My bar is about 3 feet long and judging by prior use of my torque wrench, I'm exerting over 200ft/lbs on this case.

Maybe if I pry both sides at the same time. Anyone want to come fucky my tranny out of my car with me?

If I fail to get this out by wednesday this is going to happen. i'm serious
