ok.

SUPER SERIOUS QUESTION.

When I pulled the clutch off, I heard something metallic fall and hit the ground. I looked around, thinking it was a clutch bolt, but found em all.

I was just disconnecting stuff to pull the motor and found MY PILOT BEARING. The transmission made that horrible rattling noise whenever it was in gear. Also, after it "blew", it was really hard to shift. Do you guys think that maybe my pilot bearing was what was making the horrible noise?

And if so, now what? Soviet and I pressed that thing in. It was an interference fit. Ffffuu

....

Answer: You shouldn't be doing your own work on your car, Faefae. If you managed to ---- up a pilot bearing install...

I wonder if when you ramrodded your trans in the first time you poked the pilot bearing out the back of the flywheel oops.

What did the fluid look like when you drained the gearbox?

My first thought, as well.. In all your hamfisted chicanery you destroyed/ mangled/ pushed out the bearing, causing all of your problems.

Was the fluid clean, or full of 3rd gear?

Fluid had some metal splinters. No chunks. Grayish.

Who knows. When i put the trans in last time, the motor was on the ground.

You know those girls* that Pushy dates? The ones where everything is a huge scene, and you can't help but wonder if half the ---- that happens is caused in some way by them?

Yeah, Faefae's that gf in this relationship, with the whole forum being the guy. :(

*: Could be guys, we don't judge here! Don't hurt me if I'm wrong Pushy?

P.S. Just pull the ------- engine already Faefae, and do it right. If you can't manage to get a pilot bearing in straight and get your clutch in correctly with the ------- engine out, I am completely serious in saying you shouldn't be working on cars.
