I considered sheathing the entire trans tunnel in aluminum and using it as an exhaust.

I finally got nearly all the stupid fittings that I needed. What a damn chore to get the oil feed, drain. Ugh. Now I have to find the bolt size for the drain flange.

I can't find the size anywhere on the internet :( I think it is 5/16 coarse thread but I will probably be wrong. sigh

Don't f it up, 5/16 & 8mm are pretty close. Use my ruling..if it feels like it's not threading in correctly, then it isn't meant to be in there.

Then visit their web site, you can use the internet for more than late night jerk sessions. Another thought, just take the turbo to your closest lowes or ace and find the bolt that screws into the threads. Everything on the turbo is new and clean so finding the right sized bolt and pitch.

Or take the turbo to the local Ace hardware, go to their nuts and bolts section. Try different ones until you fine the correct bolt. PROFIT.

Ace is great. Don't waste your money though, get the good SS allen head stuff the first time.

Min,

Just in case you missed it, you should bring your turbo to Lowes or Ace and try some bolts to see which fits. It should thread in very easily. 5/16 and 8mm are very close. Plus, each comes in various pitches...i.e. 8mm x 1.0, 1.25...etc. I'll buy your turbo for $200 after you f'up the threads in your CHRA drain. Ha.

WOah there. Don't go with Stainless, those will stretch when they get hot and loosen up, and fall out. You must go with Inconel for your turbo oil drain fitting.

EDIT: actually, why not just take your turbo and drain fitting to proper bench lovefab or whomever and get them to connect the two via high current plasma and filler wire? Or you can do it via 2-part epoxy. yeah there ya go.

And why no 'scarcasm' smilie available?
