You might be able to modify an early 1zzfe manifold if the port spacing is close.
Just chop off that cast POS where the original TB was mounted. Weld on a new plenum and throttlebody flange. Ball hard.
Sounds like a cool idea. If you're hacking apart the plenum and shortening the runners, it'd be easier to start from scratch. You'd want it to be actually equal length, not just 'looks' equal length.

read on Helmholtz resonance in relation to valves opening and closing.
But a turbo motor wants a big plenum and short runners since it's more about flow than tuning resonance...
When I had my IM manifold, at exactly 4000RPM, the resonance would cause the throttle cable to vibrate so rapidly and so strongly, that it would actually pull my throttle open.

I went on one of my last drives on my BEGI setup today. Pulled in the garage and the stupid oil feed line was leaking on the CHRA again. **** you. It's been fun but I need more.
Replacing the injector seal fixed my boost sag limp dick. Holds pretty solid to redline. My QSV is on it's merry way back to sound performance for swap out. Manifold, dp, dump are coming to daddy and should be here on thursday at which point they will go out for ceramic slobberknobbery coating.
I made one last shitty video for you guys. This is at around 25psi and is about the fastest my car has ever been.
Just a crappy 3rd/partial 4th pull video. If you squint you can see the speedo. Sorry, I forgot to flat shift. And I didn't even shift at 8000RPM. Those Botswanan roads have a lot of distracting traffic. It's also much faster with flat shift especially when the fireballs generate thrust.
The todo list for Stage 6 or whatever the **** I am on is long so there will be a lot of joyful wrenching come September.

weld a return fitting on fuel rail
install afpr
redo hotside IC piping
maybe redo coldside IC piping
install 949 clutch
install quaife tranny
install adj. cam gear
take off the stupid coolant neck
killl a bitch
big brake kit install
get 4" muffler done
change oil and do blackstone
ducting
oil cooler

Are you planning on heat shielding it?
It probably won't be an issue during DD-driving (unless you're a total basket case behind the wheel), but during track use it might bring a slight cooking effect to the brake fluid.

After spending 3 years with the BEGI heat shield, I hate heat shields. I'm getting the mani ceramic coated and will also be wrapping it which will help a lot. I will also be putting a silicone hose and a DEI sheath over the brake line.
Oh btw, I asked the track guys with similar mani/brakeline clearances if they ever had issues and they said "no".
