Yeah I might be picking up an 92 today or tomorrow so I should hopefully be able to make it to the megameet.
I should be pulling the motor tomorrow night and ill post up pics of the carnage.

I think that if we load my truck down with bros, tents and throw my shitbox on the gooseneck, we can talk **** and get money the whole way but I'm wondering if I should even trailer my car all the way up there at this point...
STP is the cheapest I've seen with ZDDP. Lucas also makes some "engine break-in ZDDP" but its 4x the price for the same thing..... with a Lucas name on it (lucas blows)
I just put it in for the first start up on a new engine or major component. GM had technical bulletins that suggested dealerships use it with all crate motors on break-in or any replacement of major components like cams, lifters, crankshafts, etc.
Here is what I use:

I didn't add any more at the first 3000 mile oil change. Now if I was racing I might be inclined to add this or another cheaper source of ZDDP at every change because of the likelyhood of excess wear.
There are several other supplements on the market with ZDDP as well, but this one had a good reputation in my research.

Also, im going flat out opposite this time with my next build direction. In other words, Im going to make the car look great before i dick with performance **** under the hood. Sorry but I got sick and tired of driving a fast **** box. I wanna drive a slow nice looking car this time. I might go rotrexed this time around as well.
Look on craigslist there are some good deals out there. My buddy just bought a 93 NA not running for $650 it needed a head gasket. We slapped it on there and he was off.
Fail. Just buy a new crank and rod and block and bearings get your built **** again a third time. This time don't tune like a caveman and boost and detonate so recklessly and you will be ok
