Hmm I have thought about this but I think that would cause steady leanness, not a super lean fuel cut out spike. I had an issue like this before and it was caused by my battery positive terminal arcing to my loose battery tie down :|

By thought about this, I mean uppping the wire gauge and using a 30 amp relay for the fuel pump.

I found this **** on ebay with a pigtail.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Bosch-Style-OEM-...item588d35dbbd

The way I was thinking about doing it was:

mount relay near gas tank
Run fatass cable from pos terminal to fuse, from fuse to relay
ground relay to whatever is close by
rip the original factory relay out from under the dash
run the factory signal line (which actually goes to the hydra) to the relay
run fatass cable to pump.

Only gotcha is that I mounted my pump in tank which means I have the OEM connector with the OEM wiring. I don't want to run all the fatty cable to the OEM connector and go down to weensy wire gauge for the connector, and then fatty to the pump. I think that would suck. I suppose I could make some type of bulkhead on the fuel lid, but I would need a connector that could work with the fatty cable... Argh

Just wait for me to do it and then follow suit or adjust things as you wish. I just picked up all my fittings, fuel lines, relay and wiring. All I need now is a FPR and its game time.

Ill do a write up when I tackle this. I totally forgot I did this 7 years ago when I had the FD. My memory is so terrible. My 660cc injectors with the right fuel pressure and pump voltage can easily supply enough fuel for 400whp. Its easy to forget theres a brain in my head considering all the idiocy I post lol
Yup very popular in the dsm world to do what you suggested.

This compressor surge is pissing me off. On the highway, if I floor it in 5th gear, the turbo will surge like mad and I have to let off. Any ideas on how to get this **** to stop? I lol'd at some of the supposed remedies that I have read about online. One of which was a group of dudes swearing that a Tornado fuel saver cured their surging issues.

Ill try almost anything at this point as I dont feel like blowing anything up

1) get anti-surge comp housing
2) don't floor it in 5th at low rpm?

doesn't look like there are a whole lot of options tbh

Gonna try and modify my Spa compressor housing and see if that works. Its got an anti surge inlet on it.

And this is me we are talking about here

install a turbo with a more realistic sized compressor wheel. you are flowing more air than the motor can swallow.

While that may be true, Im still going to try the compressor housing conversion. If it works, then cool.

What rpm does it surge in?
My 30r is perfectly fine in 5th from 3k.
Never heard even a hint of surge.

I just don't understand whats so hard about not flooring it at low *** rpm in 5th, but then I don't understand the reason behind "all of it" that you and fleaflyper seem to be so obsessed with.
