Well, I've been wanting to paint the valve cover Ford blue, so I might just do the block in a cast aluminum finish like my intake mani.

Congrats! Installing a 6spd or another 5? I'm waiting for mine to grenade at some point too... and I'm beating the hell outta the stock 1.6 and 5spd at 225rwhp, and that's 73 less that your baller machine. Quite suprised it lasted as long as it did for ya! I sometimes have problems catching the 2-3 shift on track... start of synchro failure?
