Okay, so intercooler is mounted, 1 inch square aluminum tubing across the AC condenser mounts on the radiator mounts across the bottom, with velcro, and then velcro on the bottom of the intercooler, and life is all sweet and good and happy. Ears of the intercooler are mounted to the upper AC condenser mount points with some aluminum flat stock bent appropriately, and some rubber washers.

Downpipe is also on, I had to bend somewhat the s*** out of my brake lines, to get them out of the way, because you know big *** boss downpipe don't got no room for no damn brake lines.

Might might conceivably start the car tomorrow.

Trying to figure out why I don't have oil from my oil feed line.

Pulled the line, checked it's clear, blew the air compressor through and got a breeze out the other end.

Line is bone dry though after about 60 seconds of cranking.

Pulled the 6an adapter at the stock oil pressure sensor, it's dry. Started to remove the stock oil pressure sensor, oil starts to drop out the hole. So there's oil.

So. More cranking?

60 seconds of cranking and no oil means there's blockage for sure.

Started it, keeping the turbo from spinning, plenty of oil. Cranking just doesn't create enough pressure.

But my vband is leaking so I need to mess with that now. My downpipe is touching both the tub and the trans, may have to do some massaging of one or the other or both.

I practically killed my battery getting oil pressure. I was getting worried, then poof. Maybe a little more if the pump and pick up tube were bone dry.

Spent a couple of hours persuading the downpipe to fit. I think it's almost there. Still won't be any clearance though, it will still touch at least one or both of the tub and trans. No idea why my car has so little clearance. I'm using the hybrid motor mounts fwiw.

It really doesn't fit. No idea why. The other 2 TSE setups I've looked at had way more room. Maybe you can bug andrew to look at it at MRLS. I suggested he get it in a press, and oval it out some. Maybe it will fit better

Went over today (i was in the area) to diagnose an exhaust leak. Missing EGR plug

Where's the DP rubbing? I've seen a few rub the shelf under the heater core, but a little flap wheel creates the necessary clearance quickly.

It is touching both the transmission, and the body directly across from the transmission. Its like that gap is just too small. A lot of hammering has made it not touch the body at idle, but its definitely touching the trans. And on decel will probably touch the body too. I should have taken some pictures, maybe richard can post some tomorrow.

Yeah Aidan helped a lot, I just needed a second set of eyes to spot the obvious for me.

Pictures. That's Yank doing some purty welds for me in the two intercooler pipes I need after sectioning the FM hotside silicone hose pieces back together to use the MSM routing through the hole behind the headlight.

That took several hundred swings of my 5lb sledge, and as you can see I clearanced the trans and the upper left bolt somewhat aggressively.

Here's my current msq if anyone wants to take a look and suggest where/how much timing I should pull to start.

I added more heat shielding, here's current status. Should have the car on the ground in a couple of hours.

Eyeballing things from underneath it looks like I've created about 1 mil clearance on either side.

I feel like that is a much more appropriately sized air filter than the one I used. Care to share the PN?

Excellent progress

Super weird. I know the NA has a slightly wider footwell and narrower tunnel than the NB, but the NB should have a boatload of room there. The only interference issues I've seen were in the parcel shelf. I'd be curious to see it at MRLS if it will be there.

Do you have a good picture of how the downpipe is supposed to route. Like looking from right under the manifold? It seemed like it was too high up, not really near the cutout in the subframe. But I didn't have anything to compare to.

I should have taken pictures yesterday.

What cutout are you referring to?

Um. This is kinda the best picture I could find.

See how the subframe is concave where the downpipe usually goes.

This is all somewhat irrelevant. Because the downpipe fits so many cars, that either richards car is weird, or somehow he magically got a different downpipe.

Maybe richard can take some pictures today, but I'm pretty sure hes trying to slam the car together lol.

Yeah, the DP sits well above that. It's one upper DP for all 94-05 cars

It will be at MRLS, also there a day early on Friday for that track day.

Pictures that make sense are hard but I'll try after lunch, it's still on jack stands but is ready to come down now.

Air filter part number,K&N, SN2560. Curly / Greddygalant pointed me towards it.
