Maybe, but not in the near future, as it turns out my diff is fine.

Internet citizens, your free entertainment carnage pictures are here. Carquest can suck my ***. But in other news, check the fancy Carbon Fiber Tillett B5.

I have a OSGiken sitting in a complete 4.3 assembly that has just sat around for years. Interested?
Maybe, but in a longer-term timeframe. As the pictures show, it turns out I'm not in need of a diff at the moment.

You know an OSG would have spun the non broken axle at least...

Clean that out. Like really well. make sure there are no bits of axle in other parts of the diff.

Wow. Interesting failure.

Why is the Tillett on the passenger side?

Because I have a Marrad for the driver's side. You know this.

The Tilletts were available as a pair for a better discount but the Marrad on sliders is the solution I need for the driver's side. The Tillet mounts are not on sliders.

Yes I know this, I just thought the Tillett was super neat and would therefore be on the driver side.

Interesting failure indeed. Did you hit a yump just before it failed or something? IIRC Jason did that once, popped the axle most of the way out, and then it stripped the splines off the end of it.

Might want to replace the retainer clip on the other axle before reinstalling, just in case.

Are you 100% sure that it was fully filled with fluid.

Any pics of the Tillett mounting? I have a pair of them installed but yours looks like its mounted lower and I don't particularly like my solution.

Thanks. Actually pretty similar to how I mounted mine except I used the NRG base which looks like it sits up a little higher than yours.

I put a quart in it. I drained this. There is other fluid that drained later in the garbage.

A quart doesn't cover much surface area in a big drain pan.
