I love how low I sit, I can't remember the last time I was able to see the entire cluster through the steering wheel. I did take a little getting used to. I kind of had to relearn my cars outer boundaries, but that's not really a big deal.

I've been thinking a lot about the diff brace you just installed, I'd love to hear your impressions of it when the time comes.

Also, upgraded to -10 on the oil drain? Any particular reason why? I'm trying to figure out the last of my plumbing and I'm waffling between -8 and -10 for my EFR.

Good progress sir! Props for the updates!

The brace added the slightest hint of vibration to my already noisy setup. It was kind of a little bit of a pain to install. The holes seemed to be 3/16-1/8" off to where I could get one bolt in but I had to loosen the diff mount bolts and pry a little bit to get everything bolted in. All in all I'm satisfied with it.

I upgraded my drain line to -10AN as a safety precaution because I had an issue with my Mazdaspeed Mazda3; oil was backing up into the turbo causing the cartridge to fill with oil and make the car smoke when sitting at idle for any extended period of time.

little update:
I scored a deal on a spare hood and started cutting for my Singular Motorsports hood louvers.

New MS3 Basic with some added options enroute from Rev as well.

Gen 4 15x9 Bronze 6UL's showed up to accompany my 225 NTO1's for the next set of track days

My parking brake cables for my FM rear brake kit broke over the weekend :( looks like I need to order their "updated version $$"

Wow, those are easily the cleanest and most symmetrical cuts on the bracing I've seen yet. What did you use?

Careful measuring, a 3" cut off wheel, die grinder, attachments from an old porting kit I got from summit and a fine thread filing kit

I got it from automotivetouchup.com. I ordered 3 cans of clear, 3 cans of base, 1 primer and 1 adhesion promoter for around $90 shipped.
I haven't compared the paint on it to the paint on the car yet. I'll post pictures for you when I swap the hoods.

So, the color match on the car is not great in the sun light. I believe this is mostly do to sun fade on factory panels. The spots under the factory spoiler are much closer to the color of the hood.

Under the right parking lot light post at night though... Amazing!

Thanks, I'm not too worried about the color difference since its my track hood and I still have the factory hood intact. Thank god because look at that filter placement.. FML in the rain!

Nice job on the cuts.
If it was me, I wouldn't even bother to try and match the paint if I painted it myself and deliberately gone with something different since paint-matching is a real science - if you're off by even a small amount it's very noticeable.
I think this is why many people simple paint their bonnets/hoods black but I reckon a few shades darker than the rest of the car would look better than black.
- you'll probably hate me for telling you this now that you've painted it already :P

It has to be blended to match. You'll likely never get it to match without blending. That said, I think you did a great job and it looks good for a track-only hood. IMO way better than if it was black

I didn't have the ***** to hack up my stock hood since I daily it and the rain here SUCKS. I agree I think a little darker looks better then black too but that is also aways an option, who knows. I really wanted to see how it would turn out as a test for shaving the front bumper emblem and filling the holes... I think I'll be putting the emblem back on. Haha

This is why I keep looking for another NB hood, except I will paint it matte black. Then I can start calling it "the great pumpkin" or some nonsense.

It looks fine, becauseracecar

Water injection bruh.

Amsoil makes a funny hydrophobic pre-filter sock for their filters, you may be able to find one that'll fit.

Yeah I know, his car is ridiculously low right now. Taking it to my friends shop to readjust his suspension and raise it up(Teins). They were put in with the clutch and that's how low they settled.

He just got a bunch of work done actually. He is getting a MS2e from Reverant installed too but the tuner wants the clutch broken in first. Don't worry he's on the right path.

Speaking of Megasquirt's... My new MS3 should be here today or tomorrow, crossing over from my current MS2e.
