Rebuild all the salvage Miatas! ASS!
Agreed.
I dunno, I had RS3s last time around so I kinda want to give something else a shot. We'll see, lots of other stuff to sort out this winter before I worry about tires.

Thirded. I am really enjoying the progressive nature of these Federals. I'll likely buy some RS3s to compare but I really would be surprised to find myself back on these cheapies later on. And I'll be recommending them for 8" wheel peoples all of the time.
Rs3s are great, they wear fantastically well and I have a set that has seen 90000 heat cycles and they just keep sticking. Loads of grip. They aren't fantastic in the wet but who cares.

Welp, now I've gone and done it.

2012, 58k miles, pano roof, 6-speed manual. Couldn't pass up the price.
Three cars for one person is totally reasonable right?

Lol Aidan.
I'm planning on copycatting Jeff probably. Malone stage 2 and DPF delete. Need to do some more research though.
Ideally I'd just do the tune now and worry about the DPF delete later, but don't want to pay for two tunes.
I found some Interlagos wheels in CL for cheap so going to pick those up too.

3 is barely adequate, yes.

Are you talking about TSW Interlagos wheels? Definitely post pics if you get those!

Why would you tune without the DPF delete? Do you have to deal with emissions? If so, how will you deal with that? Pay for a re-tune and put all that crap back on when it is time?

Ok, so was the car legally yours before the cut-off date for the VW gift car and credit program?
In the research I have done, I thought Stage 2 required the DPF delete? Why is it called Stage 2 if it doesn't require that?

According to this 2.0L CR TDI | Malone Tuning Ltd DPF delete is not required. The reason for the different stages are as follows:
Stage .5 -- for DSG owners that don't want to deal with 'tuning' the DSG
Stage 1 -- cheaper options for those that don't want to pay the extra $50 for stage 2
Stage 2 -- $50 more because they can charge you more and you'll pay it because why the hell not.
