I don't remember having windshield washer fluid. Pretty sure I remember wishing I had windshield washer fluid. I also didn't have a horn, and I do want a horn.
Thanks Richard, I will likely take you up on that. Also, I've properly installed the fans back on your stock radiator and it's ready for me to bring it to you. I'll bring it next time I go run parts to the S2k.
I really need one of these cars finished. Oi. Biggest reason I haven't quit my job yet, lol... I need my demo til I get the s2k on the road.

Meh. Ish. I was going to move down to the certified used lot, but they put the kaibosh on that. I'm thinking about trying out used cars. But I'm here til I get another car, need to have something to drive at least.

Started working on the bushings today. Started by picking this up at Harbor Freight:
Ball Joint Service Kit for 2WD and 4WD Vehicles
I trimmed the old bushings on both ends most of the time. I probably didn't have to but it didn't take much time and I'm sure it made it go easier. Here's what the rig looks like all set up and ready to press:
On the pressing side I used a socket and this metal plate for the socket to sit on. On a couple of the bushings I had to press the full length of that short socket, loosen, and put in a slightly longer socket.
The receiving side:
The recievig spacer thing is the perfect size for the front upper control arm bushings, but it's actually a tiny bit too large for the others. Also, a 32mm socket is not large enough to receive the bushing. So I just kinda fit the spacer as best I could and it worked. Would have been ideal if the spacer had been maybe 1/8" smaller diameter though.
Closer action shot, second bushing attempt:
The hose clamp was just there to hold it in place, didn't use it later on. Also you might notice that here, the 'plate under the socket is not a place but a washer... It's actually a spark plug gapper. It didn't make it, and I'm lucky I didn't get injured when it failed. Duh.
Anyway, got all the bushings out except for the passenger rears (threw the MSM ones away since they were bent, I need to keep the ones on the 10AE until after bodywork).
If you're still reading this incredibly long winded post, I had a blast driving Ryan's car at the autox Sunday morning as well. Good times has by all, and particularly good times had by Ryan who placed 4th overall and first in class. I was 1.5 seconds behind him on my best clean run.

When we did the bushings on Gesso's exocet, we did the first couple "dry" and they were a real bastard. After that we blasted them all with either aero kroil or BP Blaster and it helped dramatically.
