function > form.

Really getting it nice and pretty was not high on the priority list. Getting it running and drivable to Atlanta and back is all I am caring about until after this weekend.

Oh for sure. Is this the built engine? if so, is this the one you'll be trying ALLOFIT on?

It is the built engine. So hopefully we get EBC working at the cabin and do some ALLOFIT runs while there. I am hoping that I can get it on a dyno locally sometime in the next few weeks to see what wastegate does, and then where the turbo maxes out at. After I get some dyno testing on this setup it will come off this car and my absurdflow setup will go back on. Then I will get to working on building some EFR setups. In Decemeber I should hopefully be trying the TSE setup on the car.

Finally got some 6UL's and 225/45/15 RS3's on the car. Hopefully later this week my Xida's come in and I get them installed before I head up to the MegaSquirt MegaMeet. After the megameet I should be swapping in a NB front subframe, and the rest of the 949Racing BGK. Then all I need will be a BBK and this car will be at about the point I have always wanted it.

Xida's came in on Wednesday. I start assembling them and then went to install. The install went quickly and easily. I have the rest of the big grip kit on the way. I am also working on getting a NB front sub frame to swap in.

I need to raise the car just a little bit after this weekend. I believe I am sitting right around 4.5" from ground to pinch welds all around.

I also installed the best appearance mod ever. Something I have wanted for years, but just never bought.

No, you didn't. Maybe the teeth will cause overheating and you have to remove them. One can only hope.

I actually did not put my ducting back on after installing the Xida's. I am hoping I will be fine driving up to NC tonight. I don't think I will have problems as I have a huge *** TSE radiator, and no AC.

I am going to go find some drifters to beat up and steal their drift charms to put in the front mouth.

When I get back the IC is going to come out and get painted black. Then my silly *** wing will go back on the trunk. With the "NA is best" sticker on the back of the car, the wing, and the teeth, I should be able to successfully troll the **** out of people on the road.

How is it you're down south, and your car has more rust than mine?

Car was originally from VA. I spent 5 years with it up in NoVA winters, majority of that time being a DD while I was in college. Rust unfortunately happened, even when I tried cleaning out drain tubes and all. My plan is to keep going on this chassis until it has to much rust, then swap everything to a clean southern 94 chassis. It will be a sad day when I have to do that. Mostly because this was my first car and what got me into cars.

Lost oil pressure 25miles away from my house. Waiting for tow truck. Will be drinking heavily when I get home.

Only like the third or fourth time. Something like that. I managed to get myself together enough last night to pull off the alternator, and remove the plug in the oil pump. I spun the engine by hand and did not get any oil coming out. I then cranked it a few seconds and none came out. So something is either messing with the relief valve, or oil pick up tube, the whole pump is fucked up. At this time not sure what I am going to do with the car. Probably going to write savington a fat check for a built motor, as I cannot seem to do it correctly myself after 5 years.

I should be picking up a stock VVT motor this weekend. I think I might throw that in just to get the car running again.

my guess would be that whoever did your machine work gunked up your oil passages and it keeps biting you.

sorry to hear dude, good luck

^^ This

I feel for you, man. I went through two re-builds before getting one that doesn't spin bearings (yet).

On this last one I pulled out all the plugs on the oil passages and spent a whole day with hot cleaning solution, pipe cleaners and a rifle-bore brush kit making sure the oil passages were spotless. And even then, I changed the oil at 50 miles, 200 miles and 500 miles before I trusted that I wouldn't trash another engine.

Hope you get 'er back running again...soon...
