That's another thing. Basically WHILE it's making boost, until the wastegate opens my AFR's get high then settle back where they should. Unsure how to fix that issue too.

Surprised the hell out of myself today. Did a 50 roll with a Mazdaspeed3 with a GT35r, and put a whooping on him. Actually we were door to door, until he found 5th when pulled. The cold dry air makes this thing a lot of fun.

This kind of stuck out for me as well. Although it seems these motors can tolerate a much leaner condition than what I've played with in the past (DSM). Still looks a bit lean though.

Erat, can you track a datalog within your VE/Fuel/AFR tables? Not sure if MS does this. If so, just add fuel where the cells are highlighted while scrolling through the appropriate part of the log. My car behaved the same way prior to peak boost and it was an easy fix with my engine control software, I'm just a total cluebag about MS.

I think i may have fixed that issue with the AFR spike. BUT, it seems to be temperature dependent. It does it when it's warmer out, but not on cool nights. I thought i had it solved until tonight (warm night). Caught it just watching my wideband going into boost... hmm. Didn't have the laptop to figure it out.

Didn't plan on ragging on the car, but bro with a DSM must of had a bigger **** than engine. Didn't even get a glance after i pulled away from him twice, it's just a miata. Also didn't have the gopro again. Fail.

Slowest turbo miata is not that slow!!

Dunlop Star specs are in the mail.

I currently have 15 tires, 12 wheels. The S-Drive is just there to show comparison, those are being sold to a buddy for $100. Not a bad deal for about half tread and full road hazard until they're bald. Unless someone makes me a better offer of course.

Don't have to much to add to this.

Got a Nardi wheel in the mail. also got NRG(?) hub, but it's garbage. So i need to find a hub that isn't gutter trash. Hopefully a quick release too.

Got some hood vents in the mail too. Those will be going on during the winter when restore the body. I have patch panels as well. It will also be getting repainted.

This is how it sits now.

Speaking of gutter trash, that busted *** 240 in the background will be joining me (and a group of us) for a trip to deals gap. Leaving Wednesday.

Car is on the wastegate. Everything seems to check out. Hopefully i don't run it off a cliff or something.

I've been following this thread since the start. You're doing everything that I want to/will do with my '99. I'm in "The D", maybe we can compare notes sometime.

Awesome man. You on xceed? That's where you can find most if not all the local events, and local people.

In the summer time i stay around 94 and telegraph area. But every once in a while i'll get brave enough to deal with the idiots up on woodward.

No - that one's news to me, I'll head over there RIGHT NOW.

My car has been down most of this year - had an accident (actually, I got T-boned by a dim-wit in a Taurus in May) and have been piecing my baby back together ever since. One "gift" I gave myself was to put in a FM Voodoo kit (replaced a M45 SC) and have been getting used to it B4 entering into "MS-ville".

I usually autocross in the summer but I missed every event this year 'cause of the accident.

I'm on the east-side, maybe we can get together and compare notes (or more to the point, you can "school" me on the Megasquirt).

Not sure who looks at the Killboy weekly feature, or if anyone even knows who "killboy" is. But i got featured this week:

To make a long update short.

Took the car to the dragon. Car was fastest on the dragon by far, only on wastegate pressure. Typical Miata didn't have a single issue. Dunlop star spec tires rape. Aaannnnddd i capped 35mpg with 2 people and a full trunk on the highway home. Turbo + megasquirt = awesomeness!!

Oh and appearantly someone has video of me playing with an M3 on the highway.

I'd be more in depth, but i'm working 16 hour days and i don't care at this point. The bright side is: dat kashflow!! Fun stuff might happen this winter.

Congrats man, cars looking clean in that last killboy shot. Glad to see it running well, I can relate to turbo+ms being amazing. I drove mine 6 hours each way to CO springs for pikes peak this year, and the trip ended up being amazing. Beat on the car all the way up there, met up with matthewsdesigns and he showed me some great miata backroads, kept beating on the car, went to pikes peak, beat on the car all the way home. It still returned badass MPG and held together. I was proud, lol.

At this point i wouldn't trade it for anything.

About the body: The front bumper is faded, and peeling slightly. Slight rocker rust by the rear wheels. Driver fender is shittered. Few small door dingers. The car's been repainted once before so it looks good, but needs to be done right.

+1 for being featured on something without being "stanced." It's a sad day when that is unusual.

Killboy always takes great pics. He and his wife both have some pretty awesome cars to boot. Got to talk to him last time we were down, very nice guy.

The picture that was featured

All the stuck leaves.

My exhaust really moves around a lot. I'm actually shocked by this. Need to get some poly exhaust mounts.

I love this picture, it's my new desktop background. Beautiful color.
