This thread is due for an update of sorts, eh?
The car is sitting in a parking garage. I come by every week or two, start it up and drive around the lot to keep everything working. With cold weather I was also able to adjust the cranking/priming (read: increase by 3 times) values for low temperature. So now it starts up on E85 at near-freezing temps (it doesn't get that cold in Norfolk thanks to the ocean).
I also changed to VA registration on all my cars and I didn't take the miata for inspection yet. Its missing a horn. I have a pair from a 70s cadillac (two of 4-note horns) that I'm going to wire.
Future plans?
1) Flex fuel sensor. I finally ordered one, they are $65 shipped on eBay now. For installation I'll also need two 3/8" push-on EFI fittings to -6AN ($30) and a weatherpack pigtail ($5).
2) I got into the 3.308 rear group buy
3) I bought the Skunk2 throttle body but I must have been drunk when I ordered it, so I accidently got the 94-97 version that doesn't fit my 99 idle control valve. I'm trying to hunt down the missing parts, now.
Oh and vidya - DAT PISTON SLAP

Cool vid man, sounds like it purrs pretty well despite the cold. I know mine can get angry on COLD starts, even on pump gas. Looking forward to playing with dat e85 doe.
E85 is glorious and I'm never going back.
I'm also thinking that I might switch to the "normal" wastegate actuator. I want to see how much boost I can get out of it. Right now the range is 15psi-ALLOFIT which corresponds to 300-450whp. If the normal wastegate can bring me to, say, 250-420whp range then I'm ok with it.

I've been wanting to do the Nexus 7 stereo swap myself. I found that the newer 7's have a narrower case, closer to DIN spec (4.5" vs 4.7", D-DIN is 4"x7"). Our DIN is a little bigger than most though, since it has room for that little cross bar between the stereo and the DIN pocket, so it might be a moot point.
They're also thinner and have a smaller battery but a better SOC and more memory. I've got a Snapdragon S4 dual in my Galaxy S3, and I still love it. Didn't see much point in upping to the Galaxy S4.
