It means that the decisions of the Supreme Court are are not subject to appeal, or to review by other courts, and that precedent set by the Supreme Court is binding upon all lower courts.
The Constitution does not state, nor did the common law of the 1700s presume, that the high court was to be unaccountable to the people, and immune from the laws of the land.

I've already done the "becoming engaged to a mentally ill person, and thankfully having my eyes opened before it was too late" thing once before.
Mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. We grow wiser with age.
I'll say this: having a neighbor who, from the upper floor of their home can clearly see the south-facing side of your garage roof, which I cannot see from my own house, sends you a text after a particularly nasty storm saying "Noticed this today, missing some shingles" is a true friend indeed. I'd have had no idea if he hadn't sent me that photo.
Property lines in Chicago are weird. Part of my garage (the leftmost bit in that photo) sits on Adam's property, and his fence and trampoline screen are physically attached to it. Likewise, my north-neighbor's rear driveway and fence are on my property, and I cannot physically access the north wall of my house because of the way his gate is set in place.
And yet no one pitches a fit and files adverse possession suits. This is just how things are, and we overcome this adversity by sharing beers with one another.
As someone who grew up in rural southwest Florida, I can honestly say that city-folk have the "good neighbor" thing down to an art form which rural / suburban dwellers merely dream of in the abstract.
If women could do the same exact job, with the same quality and speed for significantly less, then why wouldn't we just hire women?
Her point about women getting paid to divorce their husbands? I know at least three women who received a major bump in lifestyle simply by leaving. Kids are grown, my work is done here! Does that financial shift ever factor into the pay gap?

Sorry about taking us off on a tangent, but is the US in a war with Russia? I certainly thought we were heading there and if we kept funding the Ukraine we would be. My wife who doesn’t really get caught up in politics said to me the other day that we were in a war with Russia. I remember putin quibble this last year. What’s your thoughts?
