GOP rep. estimates up to $100M flowed through Biden family accounts: This looks 'sinister'

Good work, if you can get it...

OK, I'll bite:

US unemployment rate: lowest since 1968. Because labor participation rate has plummeted
US homeownership rate: nearing all-time high (record high was 69.2% in 2004.) Interest rates nearly double that of Trump
US stock market indices: at record highs. This is what happens when you flood the market with cash. Oh, and inflation that makes your stock earnings meaningless
US military deployment overseas: lowest since before WWII. One word: Afghanistan. America's latest black eye.
Rate of new HIV infections in the US: lowest since 1982. Funny you put this in here.
Rate of teen pregnancy in the US: lowest in US history. Thank SCOTUS ruling for this one.
Value of US exports: highest in US history. BS. Another lagging indicator. Just think if we were still exporting oil and natgas under Trump...
HP produced by base-model Corvette: highest in US history. Please please PLEASE....let Biden take a new Corvette for a long drive!

Vanishing act: DHS admits that 40% of catch-and-release migrants disappeared

Here's another Biden legacy that we'll be dealing with for decades...

Immigration and Customs Enforcement failed to deliver immigration court summonses to more than 80% of illegal immigrants caught and released under the Biden administration’s “parole” program just before the end of the Title 42 pandemic border policy, according to statistics that the government submitted to a federal judge.

The migrants were released on “parole” and given 60 days to check in with ICE.

More than 40% of the migrants never checked in at all. Of the rest, ICE failed to issue a notice to appear — the immigration summons — in more than two-thirds of the cases.
That works out to a success rate of just 18% for the test population.

A gradual decline of five percentage points over a period of twenty years is a "plummet" in much the same way that the results of the last few elections have been "red tides."

The all-time high was 67.3% in the first quarter of 2002. It's been on a gradual decline since then to the present rate of 62.6%, equal to that of Q4 1977.

US homeownership rate: nearing all-time high (record high was 69.2% in 2004.) Interest rates nearly double that of Trump

Triple, actually. My mortgage (originated in 2021) is 2.125%. The current 15 year fixed average is 6.54%.

We're finally getting back to the point where the Fed isn't giving away free money like it was under Trump.

US stock market indices: at record highs. This is what happens when you flood the market with cash. Oh, and inflation that makes your stock earnings meaningless
The most recent US inflation number is 3%. For the fifty years prior to COVID (1970-2019), the average annual inflation rate was 3.994%.

US military deployment overseas: lowest since before WWII. One word: Afghanistan. America's latest black eye.
Afghanistan: proudly sponsored by the Democrats and Republicans.

So.....applaud Biden but then post all the historical data that shows Biden had nothing to do with it? This is why I usually just SMH and scroll past.

Who is applauding Biden? I think the guy is a bigger tool than Trump was.

The simple fact is that the President of the United States has far less power to influence statistics such as those I posted than many (most?) Americans seem to believe. I had hoped that the Corvette HP stat at the end would be a giveaway that this was satire, intended to cast light on the fact that no matter what the actual reality of life is, people will always manage to frame the facts in a way as to support the narrative which they have committed to.

Rounding the horn back into Ritalin Bay, it does bear repeating that all this focus on Biden's son's financial dealings seems like an ANSI-standard distraction, which the red-hat crowd are falling for with distressing eagerness.

Anyway...

He seems to have quite the power/influence over the DOJ and FBI...

Imagine if Nixon, instead of resigning, showed up at the FBI's office and the entire investigation was stonewalled/punted for 3 full years while Joe Perez kept questioning why we care about it?

But we all know if Nixon was a Democrat, we would have never known about Watergate. In fact, it would have been the FBI tapping the phones in the hotel...
