HuffPost Sued For Defamation Over Kavanaugh Report

...
Evans is accusing HuffPost of either knowingly publishing false and defamatory claims, or, at best, "reckless disregard" of the truth. "These statements were not only false and defamatory, but outrageously so, and were published by defendants with knowledge of their actual falsity or in reckless disregard of the truth for the apparent purpose of creating a salacious story designed to drive internet traffic to HuffPost’s website," the lawsuit charges.

"Defendants had no sources to support their outrageously false and defamatory statements about Derrick Evans and Douglas Kennedy," the lawsuit states. "Nor did Defendants make any effort whatsoever to contact Mr. Evans for comment before accusing him of not only of committing a crime, but of being responsible for the death of David Kennedy. Indeed, if Ms. Feinberg or her HuffPost editors had done even the most basic research of publicly available sources, she and they would have known, if they did not already know, that Mr. Evans actively assisted law enforcement in identifying and prosecuting the individuals who actually sold the illegal narcotics."

Uhm, dude, don't you know that you have to always believe women? It doesn't matter if she's knowingly publishing false and defamatory statements. By definition, you must believe here. There can be no other way.

Honk!

“Routinely blaming mass shootings on mental illness is unfounded and stigmatizing. Research has shown that only a very small percentage of violent acts are committed by people who are diagnosed with, or in treatment for, mental illness. The rates of mental illness are roughly the same around the world, yet other countries are not experiencing these traumatic events as often as we face them. One critical factor is access to, and the lethality of, the weapons that are being used in these crimes. Adding racism, intolerance and bigotry to the mix is a recipe for disaster.

“If we want to address the gun violence that is tearing our country apart, we must keep our focus on finding evidence-based solutions. This includes restricting access to guns for people who are at risk for violence.. . "

"Just because people do bad things does not mean they are mentally ill, it just means they made a bad decision. It means someone has responded to a group - when we look at people who are radicalized i'm glad that we're beginning to call it terror because we look at these and we wonder how they became to become radicalized, and we need to explore that."

Isn't the point of jail to like make life tough so you regret doing bad things? Why are we rewarding the mentally ill with free unnecessary cosmetic surgery at the taxpayers expense when they do bad things?

Court Orders Idaho To Pay For Sex Offender’s Trans Surgery; Governor Refuses

Governor vows to block order to pay for $20,000–$30,000 surgery for inmate convicted of sexually abusing 15-year-old boy.

Citing constitutional protections against inflicting "cruel and unusual punishments" on criminals, a panel of three judges on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Friday that the State of Idaho must pay for the male-to-female gender reassignment surgery of an inmate sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy. In response, Republican Gov. Brad Little vowed to make sure taxpayer money is not diverted to the sex offender's surgery, particularly because the treating physician and multiple mental health professionals maintain that it is not medically necessary.

not surprised to see this coming out of the 9th...

The Art of 4D chess:

https://www.dailywire.com/news/51073...OQtX9Z1HTalKKI

President Trump refuted reports Monday morning that he wants to bomb hurricanes. “The story by Axios that President Trump wanted to blow up large hurricanes with nuclear weapons prior to reaching shore is ridiculous,” he tweeted in the third person. “I never said this. Just more FAKE NEWS!” The billowy heirs of Andrew, Katrina, Sandy, and Irma can brief a sigh of relief.

...

The third possibility seems most likely: that Trump raised the strange idea to ferret out leakers. For years the President has inveighed against leakers as “traitors and cowards,” vowing to “find out who they are!” How could a disgruntled staffer resist spilling news of a prospective nuclear attack on storm clouds? Just this past February, the White House suffered its worst leak yet when a staffer sent the President’s private schedules to journalists. Is it mere coincidence that Axios brokethat story as well?

That seems like quite a stretch of the imagination.

On the other hand, it is worth recognizing that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has, in fact, published an official opinion on the subject of nuking hurricanes: https://www.aoml.noaa.gov/hrd/tcfaq/C5c.html (They say that it wouldn't be practical, mainly due to the very large number of bombs needed.)

According to reliable sources, President Trump is totally sober. He does not drink alcohol, use drugs, etc.

In this context, I find it fascinating that his thought process includes concepts such as:

  • We should just nuke the hurricanes.
  • How much would it cost to buy Greenland?
  • Hear me out: SPACE FORCE!
  • **** it, let's order 600 burgers.

According to Joe P, The Washington Post is totally unbiased, stunning, and brave.

in this context, I find this article fascinating:

Does this haircut make me look like a ****?

By Monica Hesse and Dan Zak
November 30, 2016

We need to talk about a haircut. Also about identity, and hatred, and maybe about the total end of American civilization — but first about a haircut.

You have seen it. It is short on the sides and long on the top. It is clean and tidy, with a military sheen. It’s been popular among young people for several years. But now this haircut is making us ask ourselves, with seriousness that seems unthinkable in 2016: hipster or ****?

Young city-dwelling men leaving their SoulCycle classes in leftover “I’m With Her” T-shirts.

Young white-nationalism enthusiasts leaving a recent conference in Washington, D.C., where several of them performed a **** salute.

The same haircut. The exact same haircut.

In the 1930s, ***** distinguished themselves by wearing swastikas, an easily identifiable marker that made their odious politics clear. The only defining look of today’s white nationalists — a movement that seeks to form a whites-only state — is the haircut, so popular that the leader of one nationalist group tweets under the handle “Fashy Haircut,” short for “fascist.” And there’s nothing inherently wrong with the haircut — as noted, lots of other guys are wearing it these days, too. But that’s what makes it scary.

...
It's quite interesting that it's the favorite haircut of fascist lesbians.

Macklemore denounces his former 'racist' haircut

Yahoo BeautyAugust 15, 2017

Macklemore has officially denounced his former ****-style haircut.

In a Tuesday tweet, the rapper responded to a fan who wrote, “Macklemore hair seems to be the chosen haircut of the racists now. I call on @macklemore to get online and denounce his own haircut.”

To which Macklemore quickly replied, “Got rid of it over a year ago.”

I think the biggest problem with this political witch-hunt is that the fascists are the ones who are constantly trying to find fascists.

And then there's the change of the buzz word tolerance from 25 years ago being exchanged by the activist left for intolerance of any persons or ideas that do not align completely with the flavor of the moment. But what is obvious is that the words being controlled were more important than the meaning of the words being used back then.

What about these Mexican fascists trying to fight these poor African migrants who had to walk from Africa ,with no food, to enter the US and get free healthcare?

On a completely unrelated note, one of my good friends was engaged to marry the blonde in the picture on the left. Whenever I see her, I laugh about what a bullet he dodged when he got out of that situation. That picture is a pretty fair representation of what life with her was like.

I have no idea who the blonde on the left is. Reality TV thing?

But yes, lust and infatuation can do funny things the judgement of otherwise rational people.

Yes, "Taylor" from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

I always assumed that those reality TV shows were some inflated/distorted view of what these people are like. The two entire episodes of that show I watched (can I get that 120 minutes of my life back please?), I was like "yeah, she's actually just like that."

Accurately stated. Fascists screaming that others are fascists because is dumbfounding.

The scarier part of this is the popular trend of conflation of two similar, but not, terms in order to distract the sheeple in an effective bid to control or curtail First Amendment freedoms. If you say something I don't like, I can call you a White Nationalist - no one really knows what that means, but here's a picture of White Supremacists and we don't like them, so let's go get our pitchforks.

CALIFORNIA: ‘Why Don’t We Murder More White People’ Film Aired By Arts Center

Openly anti-white hatred in a San Francisco Arts Center.

People who promote diversity or anti-racism tend to correspondingly harbor resentment towards one certain demographic.

They will make claims that it is impossible to be racist against this group.

A lot of them seem to have a free pass in spreading odium against these people who the media, entertainment, and academia blame for the bulk of the world’s social ills.

This, of course, pertains to white people.

While the media has calmed their furiously anti-white rhetoric seen before and slightly after the spike in right-wing populist movements; anti-white hatred has not only been normalized in certain circles, but it is almost encouraged.

In San Francisco, a progressive paradise, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) aired a film called “Why Don’t We Murder More White People” which was apparently screened on June 1.
