Given a sufficient timescale, the death rate is approximately 100%, give or take whether you believe in the Biblical stories of Enoch and Elijah.
But, in all seriousness, as anyone who has ever done business with Assicurazioni Generali can attest, the Italians suck at most things which are not cheese or art. It should come as no surprise that "not being dead" is one of them.
