Is it just me, or is Greta basically the equivalent of Ptolemy XIII for Karens?

Gents,

I don't have the graphics talents or time to provide an appropriate challenge, but this meme should portray Greta, a support babe (such as Nancy Pelosi Antoinette) and something in the plate in front of Trump (such as ice cream).

My life is text, not graphics...

Be safe out there,

Maybe pregnant drinking as an explanation for being “on the spectrum?” Just a guess. Her folks are, after all, Fabulous.

Not being familiar with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, I ducked it. First hit was Wikipedia (surprise) which took me to a page entitled "Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder."

Why does everything have to be a spectrum of late? Gender is a spectrum. Autism is a spectrum Fetal alcohol syndrome is a spectrum What's next, cancer spectrum disorders? Trump Derangement spectrum disorders? Aluminum can manufacturing spectrum processes? Gasoline octane spectrum ratings?

Mental illness is trendy in the world of the oppression Olympics. So when everything is on a spectrum you can claim to have add, adhd, bi-polar, drunk mother, etc and gain those wonderful oppression points. The psychiatrists love it more patients they can force pills on and make money, same for the school counselors more children in your special programs = more money. Also works for the parents of these children, instead of having to spend time beating the children they can just say the little turd is on xyz spectrum and that explains the kids garbage behavior without having to admit they're junk parents. Works extra well for single mothers.

I would add "victim" olympics, but I think you captured it. The problem is generally not the inability to determine which kids genuinely have a problem and which kids just have a **** life due to **** parents... the problem is that if you're a government employee, pointing out to parents their various shortcomings gets you fired. The kids are the real victims... who will eventually be old enough to vote. A podcast I'm a fan of the other day said something that really hit it home... "How come gluten intolerance seems to be almost exclusively a condition affecting liberals?"

Kinda like "you couldn't stereotype them more if they were wearing #stillwithher t-shirts... time 3:15:

What is it with mainland Asia and not understanding tables?

The table is an extremely mature and simple technology. The earliest known examples of furniture resembling the modern table date back to around 2500 BC in Egypt, where table-like structures constructed from wood and alabaster were used to raise things up off of the ground so that you didn't have to squat down in order to interact with them. In later centuries, it has also become well-understood that using tables to keep things such as meat off of the ground greatly reduces contamination and the spread of disease.

Table-production techniques are easily mastered, requiring only basic tools and modest material input, and tables themselves are reliable, low in cost, and generally durable and long-lasting. Furthermore, there are no patent or intellectual property barriers to entry into the table-making business, as the fundamental concept of the table is universally considered to be within the public-domain, and boundless examples of tables exist which can be freely copied by anyone.

Virtually no cumbersome regulations exist to restrict access to table-making, nor are tables subject to any unusual taxes or tariffs. They are not considered to be taboo by any known religion or culture, nor is the making or ownership of tables subject to stigmatization such as "cultural appropriation" or "elitism."

Today, tables can be found in nearly every region of the world, from Europe to Africa to South America, and even in New Jersey!

So why have China, and the countries surrounding it, seen such a shockingly low adoption rate of this amazing technology?

Can we possibly agree to (at least) refrain from the posting of pics showing the mass caging/slaughtering/cooking/marketing of cats and dogs? It you guys want to relish in pics of fish, bats, frogs, eels, rodents, or whatever, please by all means go nuts, just lay off the "pets" please. Sensitive American snowflake here.

I honestly don't understand the whole "OMG, that's not food, because I have an emotional attachment to other members of the same breed" thing, but I'll assuage the jimmies of you feckless pussies for now.

I am personally friends with three people who keep chickens as pets (one of them is an employee of mine), and one person who keeps pigs as pets. With the exception of pig guy, they all understand that when it stops laying eggs, it becomes food.

As a broad generalization, pigs do not typically lay eggs, so that particular metric is not applicable in that situation.)

Long story short: we are the apex predator. If it moves, then unless you have a strong emotional bond with that one specific unit, it is food, regardless of whether Disney / Pixar have made a movie about it.

I grew up on a farm. Anyone who helps birth/raise/slaughter/butcher/eat animals knows that naming an animal that you will eventually eat kind of sucks. Not a hard rule. More of a spectrum.
