Trust Dr. WHO.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/c...XfTMUr2mZW4dnE

More than 100 health ministers from around the world are calling for an independent investigation of the World Health Organization's handling of the coronavirus outbreak, and of the origin of the virus
Members of the WHO’s 194 member countries are meeting via teleconference for the World Health Assembly.

A draft resolution, which has the support of 116 countries so far, is calling for “an impartial, independent, and comprehensive” investigation of the actions of the WHO and the timeline pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic. It also seeks to identify the origin of the virus. Australia, Canada, India, Japan, South Korea, the U.K., and the E.U. and its member countries are among the states signing the resolution.

World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has come under fire for the health body's handling of the pandemic. Observers saying the agency was, at the very least, far too credulous in believing Beijing's reassurances, which it then amplified uncritically. Director-General Tedros personally heaped praise on Beijing's coronavirus response. He is the first non-physician to lead the world body, a position he has held since 2017.

China, for its part says the review should be led by the WHO itself and launched only after the virus "is brought under control." Chinese President Xi Jinping released a statement saying his country acted with transparency and shared information about the outbreak.

Italian Legislator Calls For Prime Minster to Seek Bill Gates’ Immediate Arrest

The legislator began by saying that many more will die “under the law for misery and poverty” due to the response to the virus, and added that “1.6 billion people are at risk” for starvation due to the virus according to the United Nations.

“All to indulge the appetites of financial capitalism whose engine is the conflict of interest well represented by the [World Health Organization], whose first donor is the philanthropist and savior of the world Bill Gates,” Cunial said.

Cunial added, “In 2018 he prophesied a pandemic, then simulated last October in Event 201 in agreement with Davos friends, and has been prodigal for decades in developing plans for depopulation and dictatorial control over global politics, aiming to achieve Primacy over agriculture, technology, energy.”

,,,Cunial went on to discuss the relationships between Gates, large political interest groups in Europe and Italy, and the Italian government, before calling on the Italian president to call for his arrest.

“Advice to our [Prime Minsiter] Conte,” said Cunial. “Next time he receives a phone call from the philanthropist Bill Gates, send it directly to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity to the AIA.”

“Otherwise tell us how we should define the lawyer friend who takes orders from a criminal.”

You beat me to that post Braineach.
The ruling did not say she could not put restrictions in place, simply that they are null and void because she did not get legislative approval within 4 weeks.
I am guessing that the Gov simply did not want to put the legislators at risk of being exposed to the virus, nice and caring politician that she is.

Time for some COVID parties!

NEW STUDY FINDS RECOVERED CORONAVIRUS PATIENTS ARE NOT AT RISK FOR CATCHING OR SPREADING THE VIRUS
by Kevin Ryan

A new study released yesterday found evidence that patients who test positive for the coronavirus after recovering aren’t capable of transmitting the infection.

Coupled with research showing that recovered patients have the antibodies that prevent them from falling sick again, and researchers may finally able to say that people who’ve recovered from COVID-19 infection are no longer a risk to catch or spread the virus.

Scientists from the South Korean CDC studied 285 COVID-19 patients who tested positive after they’d recovered, as well as 790 people who had come into contact. The so-called “re-positive” patients weren’t found to have spread any infection, and virus samples collected from them couldn’t be grown in culture.

The results confirmed what scientists had suspected: Patients who test positive after recovering from COVID-19 have NOT become reinfected, but instead are simply shedding non-infectious or dead virus particles, which can lead to a false positive test.

The new study has led health authorities in South Korea to revise their protocols, saying people should no longer be required to test negative for the virus before returning to work or school after they have recovered from their illness and completed their period of isolation.

The news is a good sign for regions that have had a high percentage of their population already infected and recovered. However, it may still be too early to recommend a “herd immunity” approach to responding to the outbreak. Without an accurate estimate of the viruses infection fatality rate, it’s not possible to estimate how many people would die if the virus is allowed to spread through the population in order to build up the population’s immunity.

If, for example, if the infection fatality rate is 0.5%, and 70% of the population must become infected before herd immunity is established, that means roughly 1.2 million Americans would die in the process.

However, few if any people are arguing that the virus should be allowed to spread with no protections in place. Instead, most proponents of a herd immunity approach argue that the most vulnerable population (the elderly and infirmed) should be strictly protected while those less at risk should be allowed to return to their normal lives.

Still, without a more accurate infection fatality rate figure, it’s difficult to model how that approach would compare to the current lockdown approach. And the highly politicized nature of the debate over reopening makes it very unlikely that any sort of “Swedish” approach would be tried in the United States.

Regardless, this new study is great news for areas looking to open up as more patients recover from COVID-19, showing that those who have recovered present no risk of spreading the coronavirus when physical distancing measures are relaxed.

also since masks are 100% effective, we should just open back up, so long if we wear a face covering.

A couple of thoughts...

When I urinate, I'm getting rid of bodily waste. When I defecate, I'm getting rid of bodily waste. When I exhale I'm getting rid of bodily waste. I suppose I'm lucky the government didn't tell me I had to recycle the first two.

The driving clubs and tracks provide me an opportunity to drive my car at high speeds, where I could lose my life or damage my vehicle. All I have to do is sign a waiver and get a wristband. Now I can't go on track because the government says being there is dangerous. Where's the ******* waiver?

Not boat racing. As long as we don't break any local or state laws, we goin racing boys!

Then again, were a little different breed. We are not people who are scared easily.

“The racing world is all about managing risk, in whatever form it may come. Whether it be wind, water, and yes — now a pandemic — it’s now all our job to manage those risks and protect our racers, staff, and spectators so we may continue to race for many years to come. Our world has changed, and we will continue. We just need to adapt to our current racing conditions. Racing is what we do: we eat it, breathe it, and so — we live it!”

Maybe that has a little to do with other manufactures coming on line building cheap ones. Maybe it was hype from media.
